So we were driving back from our camping trip (which was AWESOME). Curtis did amazing and we were reflecting on how well he did and if we want to do it every year (FOR SURE!), with having Curtis and our next baby. Anywho he asked me what I was *planning* for kids. I said we'd have this one and then wait for a couple years so there would be 2 years between these two and then maybe 3 between the next 1 and the one on the way. Then he said "But then Curtis and our youngest would be so far apart"....

His plan?

Have this one, get healthy and recovered and start our next baby! Then the next 2 will be closer in age.

AHHHH I think he's insane haha. I said we'd see how we are when we are finished the pregnancy, birth, newborn stages and see how we feel haha.

He loves kids, can ya tell? lol.

OMG Jer said something like that to me too! He asked me the other day if we could have another one right after this one

I told him it would be a little too stressful, I want time in between to get my body back...plus we don't know what our financial situation will be like when I get out of the military!

It's so nice when they WANT more kids though instead of having to talk them into it

That's so nice of them to be so excited for more and I think you ladies were right to not commit to it. I find that sometimes it's easier for the guys to say they want more but when they're off to work and you have to deal with them mainly, it can be stressful. Not that I have any experience but Ive watched it with a few people I know and then the moms start to complain.

DH and I are both content with this one for now and then well see how it goes.

Your DH's are sweet! But I agree, for the man, having babies all in a row is a much easier concept... they're not the ones who have to (or "get to") carry, birth, and breastfeed them!

My DH wants them close in age and so do I. The thing we disagree on is how many. He only wants 2, but I am really liking the idea of 3. I want a house full! And I don't want the fun teenager years to be over too soon (no, I'm not kidding lol).

That's cute! Brant used to want our kids a little closer together (like 2 years apart), but I just wasn't ready. My delivery w/ Abby was physically demanding, and while she is the sweetest little girl, she is a terrible sleeper and I have been exhausted since she's been born. So, we waited a bit & tried for 3 years apart. Ours will be 3.5, and that's fine...and then I am so done. I don't even know if I could handle a 3rd if I were younger, but I do know that it was recommended I not have more than 2 more pregnancies after Abby.

You girls going for more than 2 are awesome!

that!

DH and I joke with Daddy the Psychologist and Mommy the Social Worker, our house will either be wayyyyyyyy more stressful or way more awesome into the teenager years!!

Our baby niece is safely in her tweens and we're both getting nervous though!
