My niece's best friend has an aunt who is pg. She is 41. She was told she couldn't have kids. She had tried and tried over the years and couldn't get pg. My understanding is that things just weren't right with her but she never thought much of it. By not right I mean she thought she was putting on a few extra pounds and had said she needed to watch what she was eating as it felt like she was gaining a little. I think I remember them saying she had gained about 10 pounds for no reason. Anyway, her sister----my niece's bff's mom----convinced her to go to the Dr....SHE'S PREGNANT! She had no idea. SO....she thought she must be about 4 months! NO! They did an U/S 2 days ago and she is 7 MONTHS PREGNANT AND NEVER KNEW IT! OMG! I would just die if I went to the dr after trying so long and so hard for them to tell me my cycles were messed up due to a pregnancy! No one could tell she was pg. They thought, like she did, that she had just gained a few pounds! No belly at all! I didn't have much of one with Brayden either and I would sorta push it out lol to show it off. But with clothes on you couldn't tell at all! Even the dr would make the comment that I didn't look it, but he knew there was a baby in there because he had heard it LOL! What would you do?

There was a TLC or Disc. Health on it 4th of July weekend! I would be SO worried because my thyroid wouldn't have been monitored bi-weekly, I may have been on several meds that could hurt the baby, etc. etc.

Yeah I never thought about gals on meds! Geesh! I'm not on any right now, but the one I was on when I was pg with Brayden could have caused really bad neurotube defects. I was on it for 18 days after I got my bfp not knowing it was harmful thanks to a nurse who didn't give the dr a message that I was on that med and she told me it was fine without even asking the dr! When the dr found out he was as upset as I was and well I never saw that nurse in that office again!

I still can't wrap my head around how that is possible. What about feeling the baby kick?? By seven months, you've got a soccer player in there!

I've always worried about this! I don't wanna be like that, but I'm so scared I will end up being one of those people who never get a positive pregnancy test because my mom didn't until she was 5 months with me! And I also think about the people who have AF their whole pregnancy too! And then with me being a heavy set girl, I've also heard when you are larger, it's harder for you to feel the baby moving! I worry too much! lol I know a couple people who've had this happen to them and they are both heavy set women, so I think it's more common for my type!

That's crazy! Those stories are so wild to me. I would freak right out. My SIL didn't find out until she was 4 months.

Although if you look up my fake pg pictures in the bacon DDC you will see that I didn't "find out" until I was 9 months along, LOL.

If the baby is turned a certain way most of the time you dont feel the kicks. So I dunno. Brayden never kicked hard at all I would have just thought it was bad gas or something lol. My grandma had a period her whole pg! I had my first one with Brayden, but the rest never came thank goodness. But I also know a gal who was 5m....on BCP....ahd her period...went to the dr and she was pg. And that was 2nd time she got pg on bcp!

Michelle....my sil is VERY heavy set and she felt my niece move and my niece was born early and only weight 5lb 8oz at birth! And my sil was prolly 250-275 at the time and 5'2"

I have an anterior placenta and I haven't felt much movement yet. I have been feeling some but honestly if I hadn't been pregnant before I wouldn't notice it!

Although you couldn't mistake my stomach for anything else than a baby belly though, can't hide that lol!

I would be soooo freaked out if I was 7 months pregnant and didn't know it LOL! She must be really happy though after her initial shock though!

Had an acquaintance in highschool, (girl in my choir that I talked with during class and saw at parties but not share deep secrets with person). She went to the hospital with stomach pain-and gave birth 2 hours later! She was 17 yrs old and a heavier set girl who put on maybe 5 lbs. She had NO IDEA. And no one could tell.....the soap opera part was figuring out who was daddy--apparently there were multiple options.

Oi! I hope that never happens to me! I can be neurotic and controlling, I like to know what's going to happen next. So I need to know so that I can plan the baby's room, stock pile diapers and clothes, get a car seat, check out preschools, etc.

If I was pregnant and didn't know it?? I don't know what I'd do, probably cry!

I read an article in some magazine about a woman who didn't know she was pregnant till she delivered the baby, and she was on a camping trip at the time. Luckily the baby was healthy. I think there may have been mention of her having PCOS or something & spotting in between so she thought she was having her period. But she had been gaining weight. Stories like that are just amazing. I think if that were me, though, I'd feel cheated on the whole pregnancy experience or something. However, I guess it pays to be overanalytical & neurotic in my case 'cause I didn't even think I was preggo this time around.
