I felt nothing but a bit of queasiness up until yesterday. Then I threw up after I ate arbys. Yuk! Thought it may pass. Nope today after I ate lunch- it happened again! Mornings are great, it comes about 1-2 pm and lasts all day up til bedtime. DH saw me laying on the couch at 4 and said I was pale and he was going to get relief for me. He bought me sea bands- and he was so proud it had a pic of a preggo girl on it too. He was so cute about it!!!
My question to those who use/have used for morning sickness or traveling- did you wear them 24/7? I put them on at like 5 pm and felt better about 8-9 and right now feel pretty good (knock on wood it stays that way!!) They say 1 sizE fits all- and I have pretty small wrists- and they left a good mark- kinda like how my tight hair bands leave marks on my wrists. Now I will take them off to shower- but what about at night??? I feel so good I don't want to take them off. DH says I should cuz the marks it left- but my thoughts are when one is on a cruiseship-they prob leave them on to help with motion sickness and rocking at night.
But for tonight I'll take them off- but curious what others have done. Fiona? She mentioned them to me yesterday. And DH listened!!!
Thanks girls!!!

I used them and yes they left a good mark on my wrists. I think they have to be tight so they put the pressure on the pressure point.
At my worst, I wore them as soon as I woke up in the morning, until I went to bed. But I was sleeping good... if you are waking through the night and feeling icky, wear them to bed. I'm so pleased to hear they have helped you! I didn't find it a cure as such, but they took the edge off the nausea making it bearable.

I used them too and wore them 24/7 and had marks but the marks would disappear if I took them off for a bit. I'd only bought one set cause they were pretty expensive here and I found they worked well the first few days but then because I'm so skinny, they weren't as tight and seemed to lose their effect.

I wore mine all the time. I never got MS but maybe they helped me a little from ever getting it? I think I look mine off at bedtime but I can't remember.
I hope they work for you!

Except for showers, I never took mine off. I went from not being able to eat ANYTHING, to having a couple pieces of pizza so I was like I'm not going to mess with it I still have the tan lines where they were. They did dig into my wrists a bit but nothing I wasn't willing to deal with to make the nausea go away.

I used them with my last pregnancy and they left some nasty marks on my wrists too. Unfortunately they didn't work for me and I kept them on 24/7 (except to shower); I still threw up everything that went in my mouth 24/7 for the first 21 weeks. The only thing that worked for me was medication, so I gave up on them after a few days.
I hope they do the trick for you and your morning sickness doesn't last long!

Well I wish I left them on last night when I went to bed... cuz the second I woke up today I felt icky. Nauteaus so much I didnt want to eat, but I did... and felt like puking but didn't. And I put on the bands right away but wasn't sure if I put them on right or if its just not working now. Cuz I feel ill still. Drinking some caffeine free coke. Is caffeine diet coke ok?
Anyways... This day just sucks. I think I'm going to go to bed soon.

the coke is safe but it will not help---anything carbonated will most likely make your gassy issue worse, and when I burp hard it sets off my gag reflex and i throw up anyway.....ah the joys of pregnancy!

I tend to get horrible morning sickness, with throwing up 1-3 times a day, sometimes more. With DD it lasted until 14 weeks. I used sea bands and they did work. They didn't take it away, but they took the edge off so I could function. Otherwise, when I'm pregnant I want to crawl up in a ball and cry. My last pregnancy was even worse than with DD, I spent a few days in the bathroom all day, and it got worse as the day went on. I LOVED bedtime.

I have tried them w/ both my pregnancies. They never made m/s go away, and I don't really know how much they help for me, personally. But this last time I have found that they make my arms itch after a while, and I know if I keep using them & scratching it will most likely turn into another patch of eczema. My friend swears by chewing on raw ginger (she's not pregnant but gets carsick very easily), but I haven't tried it myself. I am gonna look for preggie pops this weekend, though!
