My appointment was 2 day's ago but I've come down with a bad case of the lazies and didn't feel like typing this out until now ! When I first got their the hooked me up to that thing that monitors the baby's heart, well Landen decided he didn't want to do it and kept kicking the little round things off my belly! He would not stay still my tummy looked like a wave pool, they tried for a whole hour and finally gave up! The doctor asked me about the appointment I had with the other doctor who gave me my re-re-re GD test. I told him every thing came out fine! He gave me an u/s. Landen is doing really well, I got to see his little face (I have a pic I will update with in a bit) and he is about 19inches and a bit over 6 pounds and he has a full head of hair and I swear he looks just like Chris ! He said this is a bit big and that it had to do with my gestational diabetes.... I'm like I just told you I don't have it the test came out fine. He was like umm ok whens your next appointment for your gestational diabetes..... HELLO I DON'T FLIPPIN HAVE IT!! And then he was asking about the diet he put me on!!!!!!! I just kept repeating myself saying that the test came back fine!! It got pretty annoying, so I finally gave in and just shut up. He put me on a no carb or sugar diet even though I do not have GD (HA I just ate 3 cookies). I don't care what that doctors says I'm just having a big baby, the last time I checked something doesn't have to be wrong with you to have a big baby!!! I can not wait to hold him After I saw his little face I just wanted to kiss his chubby little cheeks!

Wow, what the heck is wrong with that dr? It should be in your chart that you don't have GD.

But how exciting that you got to see him again on u/s!

Stupid doctor. That's so great you got to see your little guy again! There's nothing wrong with a big baby--my Liam was 3 weeks early and almost 7 1/2 lbs!

Well, you did have glucose spilling over into your urine. That means your body is having a difficult time using the glucose for energy...regardless of the other tests. Your second blood test was postive, but the third came back normal..right? Either way, it sounds pretty borderline...doesnt mean you have the diagnosis of GD and need insulin or anything, but you should try you best to stick with a diebetic type diet. You don't want a 10lbs baby....or a baby that is used to moms blood sugar being on the high side. It's good for both of you not to eat a lot of carbs and sugar....so why not, kwim?

hun sounds like you are borderline. So I would just do the diet a big baby is not the only side effect of high blood sugars plus with your kidney issues....purty please do the diet!
Glad you got to see him again! Can't wait to see the colored/real life pictures!

Some docs are so stubborn and it would be on your file that you don't have GD, so I don't know what his problem was.

Anyway, I'm really glad that Landen is growing well and I can't wait to see the pic!!

Thanks everyone! I still need to take a pic of my u/s pic to post, Chris decided to bring it to work with him today so I will take it as soon as he gets back!

Erin I will cut back on the carbs and sugar I promise!! I've had the worst time with this pregnancy and food! Every thing they tell me too eat more of and cut back (lol besides sugar) on completely conflicts with my healthy kidney diet and then the doctor gets mad when I start passing stones or get an infection and asks me why I haven't followed my other diet!
