I called to find out why my insurance denied coverage of my progesterone suppositories. They told me it's because they are being used as infertility treatment. I told them no, I WAS going through infertility treatment, but now I am pregnant and the progesterone is being used to sustain the pregnancy, NOT as infertility treatment.
So the guy gave me info on how to appeal it and I've already got it typed up and ready to go in the mail! I don't know if the insurance company messed up or my RE's office did, but hopefully it will get straightened out soon.
I will GLADY pay full price if I have to, but I'd rather save that $282 in cost difference over the 2 months of Rxs and buy something for the baby.
