(I've posted this in the DDC and UK mum's to get as much feedback as I can)

I'm almost positive this pain is wind (gas) related. But at the same time, I don't know and I'm a little scared... I've been in pain for about 4 or 5 hrs now.

It's right under my bump, just around the top of my bikini hairline. It was so bad earlier I could hardly breathe out. Would you be worried?? I checked baby with the doppler... he/she is fine and pottering about in there as per normal.

I have a cold, so I'm not sure if I'm just run down, I do know my tummy muscles are quite tender from sneezing constantly since last night.

Am I over-worrying? Or would you be worried if it was you? I don't really know if I should be concerned? It hurts right down to my VJ/back passage at times. I really feel like if I could go to the toilet (not peepee!), I'd feel better but I've been twice today so I know it's not that. Perhaps I need a trump?! Tell me I'm paranoid?

I would be worried. I would tell hubby and he would make me call the doc or go to the ER. If you are in pain where it sucks your breath away or whatever.. I think that's excessive and totally deserves to be checked out!

Why don't you give your midwife (right?) a call and see what she/he says?

DH isn't home right now. It's 9:15pm. I think it's settled a tiny bit. It's not taking my breath away now but did earlier.

I had a read online after I posted the above, and it was all about gulping extra air in... I've probably been doing that all day with my sniffles and sneezing. I think if it's still here tmor I'm gonna call the m/w for sure. I hate the unknown, it's scary! Even if I am paranoid and worrying for nothing!

I was going to say that cramps, pains etc do come with pregnancy! So there may not be a reason to be worried but never feel bad checking things out!

If thing have subsided I would do the same as you Just wait it out and if it comes back then you can do something about it

That's okay Fi, I think all of us get a little nervous when we don't know if what's going on with our bodies is "normal" or not.

It sounds like gas pains to me I got them a lot in the 2nd trimester- I could feel pain in my bum, my tummy, and in my vajayjay. The only relief came with a huge fart, lol. I would try to hang tight tonight, but if you're not feeling better in the AM, go in just to get checked. If anything, they might be able to reccommend some gas meds and assure you that it's nothing major.

Has it gotten any better? Poor, Fi, I would be worried too. I have no advice, but I understand the paranoia!

It does sound like gas pain. But if you still have it in the morning or it gets worse call your oncall person. Try peppermint tea! or some Gas-x medicine. hot drinks in general will help with it, and lots of walking around should help move things along. And lastly get down on all fours and put your butt in the air! -gas rises so this position can help you pass the gas better.

hope you get better!

I've had a pretty yuk night, got up to the bathroom around 1am and still had the pain. When I woke up this morning I thought it was completely gone. Until I got up... It's not like it was last night but it's still low down there, under my bump
