So i've never been a member of Eharmony. Ever. I got an email today and at the bottom, it shows I am subscribed to Eharmony emails and must click to take my name off the list.

I know we were reassured no emails or contact from Eharmony with the merger, but I"m confused now. Not that its a huge deal anyways, I just remember being told specifically we wouldnt get info from them and now I am, and am subscribed to their email letters

*goes to check spam*

Hmmm I still don't see any but I didn't open them, so if they don't say eharmony in the subject or sender, I wouldn't know. But OMG @ the stuff in my spam folder! My eyes are scarred!!!

odd! You could perhaps post in the help board and see if it's common? Perhaps Patty & Theresa are unaware of it.

It's spam and please do not click to unsubscibe. It's a trick and the more you click them, the more they link you to other email distribution lists. Add the email address to your junk mail/spam filters.

When you clicked the first one, you most likely cause that to add you to another list and hence why you received the other email. If you keep clicking unsubscribe you will just notice that with each one you choose to unsubscribe from, you will get another email o something else.

When i click the page though, it really does link to eharmony and there are links on the page, verifying the same information

The unsubscribe page takes me to Eharmony and looks like this:

I dont have to enter any info, its already there. I'm not a member though

http://www.eharmony.com/singles/servlet/us...p;cmd=email-opt

I honestly dont think this particular email or the one before is spam.

Okay. Cool.

Just be cautious with emails from subscribers when you have not subscribed. There are so many tricks out there with internet spoofing, etc that you have to be very careful about emails that you are unsure about. About 3-4 weeks ago, some CNN and Facebook users were tricked into clicking on links that loaded viruses and bombarded them with spam. I didnt read the full article because I get so many of them but I'm always cautious since my career field is in IT security, audit and governance. I see so many unsuspecting persons being tricked.

I have gotten a couple of spammies that say eharmony on them lately.
My favorite one in my inbox is "Treat your Colon to this Fruit!"

Can you please forward this email to me? I am trying to look into any member concerns. I do not believe this email is coming directly from eHarmony but rather an affiliate. Can you please forward this email to me at email@justmommies.com and I will look into where this email is coming from. Thanks.
