I just got back from the doctor. Landen is trying to escape! I'm on bed rest for the next week, if he does not come out on his own before then they are going to induce me around the 14th !!!! They monitored his heart and my contractions for an hour and he sounds good, and my contractions were small. Then I was violated and she said he was very low.... Not too sure what she means, I asked her but she had no clue what I was saying (her English is bad)! She gave me an u/s and said he was ready but wants to try to keep him in for another week, but I will more then likely have him before then. This really sucks because my house is a mess and my bags not even packed yet and I'm not allowed to do anything. And I'm scared because she said my contractions were small and they hurt BAD BAD BAD BAD!!! What do big ones feel like .

Okay Landen, just because it is Labor day doesn't mean it is time to come out! Stay baking for another week please.
Take it easy girl and put your Dh to work around the house cleaning up and packing your bags for you.

he is really low means that he is indeed making his way in the right direction. His head is probably pressing on your cervix (or engaged) meaning he is prepping for delivery.
*talking to landen---now listen here young man (mother voice), I know your very excited to meet mom and she is really excited to meet you but you need to stay put for a week. GOT IT! Don't make me come over there!*
Drink tons of water, stay in bed or the tub, DON'T CHEAT at this either! AT ALL. Nurses orders I will get the van and come over there and sit on you if I have to! And you just let us know if your man is not picking up the slack--and then give me his number-we will straighten him out! LOL

Aw you poor thing! I'm sure it really blows to feel like you have so much to do and you have to just stay in bed. That would drive me crazy, especially because other people can't do it juuuust the way you would, etc. But you know, what's going to matter in the long run is that Landen stayed in there as long as possible, not that your house was clean or that Chris packed your 'favorite' sweatpants. Try to just park it in bed (hopefully you have a laptop!?) and just stayyyyy there! *hugs*
So excited for you!

So, now it's race between Reid and Landen! He would be ok if he came now though, right? Did she say why she'd rather you get another week (aside from the obvious that it's better the longer he cooks for)?

Oh wow! Yeah what you were describing did not really sound like BH contractions to me...
I am kind of confused on why they said they would induce you in two weeks if he hasn't come by then? It seems like he will be born soon, but why would an induction be necessary if you are already well on the way to being in labor?
Anyways don't worry too much, just stay in bed and rest, take plenty of warm baths and showers. I was worried when I had to be induced early, but she was totally fine, she didn't have to stay longer in the hospital or anything.

Oh good to the laptop!!!!
Fifi-36 weeks is the magic lungs developed week. If born before 36 weeks babies usually need a little extra help breathing (could be simple like a shot of steroids to help the lungs develop quicker and some nasal oxygen or can be as severe as need intubation) She is close enough to 36 weeks I think a shot of steroids would work pretty well and maybe a little nasal oxygen tube. Luckily landen is already projected a little big (looks like the little stinker KNEW he was coming early)
