How did I the person who LOVES to sleep get a child who hates it!!!!!!!
Her schedule's is so random! Last month she was doing great. Going to sleep by 11pm waking up at 6am to eat for 30 mins and then back to sleep till 9:30.....Oh no not anymore. She must know that September Is a NEW month.....The last 3 days she's been going to sleep by 11pm and waking up every 3 hours to eat and eating for an hour. So that leaves me wih about 1 1/2-2 hours of sleep in between. Then she'll wake up at 7 and be wide awake. I let her eat this morning for an hour and after she kept playing and my boob coudn't take anymore I brought her down the the swing. Now she's whineing for me to hold her and doseing in and out of sleep. First she kept sneezeing and that would wake her so she's start crying. Then she got the hiccup's and the crying started again!!!! ALL I WANT IS A SHOWER.......

ok she's out, Im gonna sneak one In now

It sounds like you're hitting the 3-month growth spurt. Hopefully it'll only last a little while longer and then she'll go into the sleeping phase of the growth spurt where it seems like she sleeps non-stop. Hang in there!

Yup, sounds like a growth spurt. She'll probably go back to her old schedule soon enough!

My Lochy still nurses 2, sometimes 3, times a night. I haven't slept through the night in over 3 years! Trust me, you learn to adjust.

what? nooooo!! i was hoping you'd say "they sleep through the night by 8 weeks old and never turn back!"

sad. i miss my sleep so terribly much.

also, shannon...i love your new siggy, it is perfection!

i hope you got your shower, amy! i usually don't get one until jon gets home from work at night because mister fussypants wants to be held all day most of the time.

Thanks! It's obvious these aren't our bodies though, right? I want it to look stick figure or cartoon-like and even though I don't have any arms or anything I don't want people to think they're real wedding photos, haha.

(Sorry to threadjack Amy)

I hate to tell you, but DD hit that 3 month growth spurt, and never slept through the night again until she was 16 months old!!!! I seriously thought I was dying from the lack of sleep, LOL. You do get used to it, I enjoyed my coffee more than anything during that time!!

i'm told (and was told to teach moms) that babys have major growth spurts at 3 weeks, 6 weeks, 3 months and 6 months and to expect newborn sleep/eat patters during that time. {{{{huggles}}}}
Can you take a bath with her?
