I changed my ticker from BabyGaga to Lilypie because Lilypie keeps counting even when you go overdue Kind of sad that I thought about it and cared enough to make the change. haha.
IL's just texted DH to say that they have plane tickets lined up for this Friday (aka TOMORROW) and for next Friday. They want us to keep them posted after my doc appointment today to see if they should come this weekend. I told DH to tell them that it would probably be next weekend DH says to me, "but what if they check you today and you are like 3cm? Should I tell my parents to come then?" Poor guy...so hopeful! I told him no, that it still doesn't mean anything. I also have a feeling that I'm NOT 3cm. I'm having quite a few BH contractions, but I don't think I'm having real ones because they don't hurt that badly. I can still walk and talk through them.
Please Reid, don't come too late! You can come a little bit late if you want, but not more than a few days, okay?

Both my boys were exactly 4 days late. And even though it's not that long, when you've been pregnant forever (or at least it seems like forever lol) those measly 4 days are hell. Do lots and lots of walking that's what put me into labour with my oldest. My youngest nothing worked. I was stuck at 2 cms for 2 weeks.

I hope you don't go too late. With my ds I was absolutely positive I was going to go 10 days overdue but the little guy came exactly 1 week early

Aw, I hope he comes sooner rather than later for you! I was sure I'd go over with Lochy but sure enough, 1:15am on my due date "real" labor started. Before that I walked around 3cm and 80% effaced for 2 weeks (and had BH since 17 weeks). The great thing about all those BH is that they really do gear you up nicely for labor and your body is (generally) that much more efficient when the time comes. Have you tried drinking red raspberry leaf tea? Or taking evening primrose oil? I did both with both boys and it helped nicely. The tea I drank about 3 cups a day. The EPO I took two orally and one on my cervix before bed. It's worth a shot anyway. Oh and also, fresh pineapple has been known to help start labor too. And theres always the old standbys--sex and walking. I really hope little Reid doesn't make you wait too long! I can't wait to see that gorgeous little face!

No progress. In fact, I have un-progressed He was at 0 station last week, now he's more like -1 or -2 (Angela, you said this could happen, I was hoping you would be wrong in my case! haha). Still just 1cm dilated and about 75% effaced. A different doc checked me, and I guess she has shorter fingers because it didn't even feel like she touched my cervix. She said she had a hard time reaching it because his head was "so high". HA...compared to last week where the doc was super excited that he was SO LOW. While she was shoving her fingers in me, she was also shoving a knuckle into my bone which didn't feel so hot. AND I'm bleeding now from the exam. I think I've had enough of these. I don't really want to be checked again. My next appointment is on Monday, I will be 2 days overdue. I'm fairly certain that I will still be pregnant
Stubborn little boy!
Oh, and yes, I've actually started to take EPO. I've been taking 2 or 3 orally for the last 3 days or so. I don't think they really work (such a skeptic...) but I had them from when I was TTC (was skeptical of them then too!) so might as well give it a shot! I opened one to put the oil directly on my cervix, but decided against it because it SMELLS! *vomit* I hate the smell of funky oils. Probably has something to do with my childhood memory of when my mom spilled canola oil in the trunk of our car. It reeked for MONTHS.

LOL! At least your sense of humor is intact!!
BTW, I think you can insert the whole softgel and it will dissolve--those caps are just glycerin.

I forgot how painful those last few week checks are. My best advice is walk, walk, and walk some more. That will work with gravity, and can get things going. I still have hope that you won't be THAT overdue, LOL.
