I called my co-worker on Tuesday to see how things were going and how my boss was handling things. My coworker called back and left me a message saying, "Things are good, Bob *we'll call him Bob* is being Bob, he's had a few rants about how you could still be working, but he doesn't seem too serious about it, so don't worry. Enjoy your time off" I was PISSED. I wrote my co-worker an email (to his personal account lol) RANTING about how annoyed and mad I was that our boss would talk about me like that. I got totally hormonal.

Today my boss texted me AGAIN saying, "baby yet?"

I wrote back:
I'll let you know, I promise. I feel like you are texting me not out of concern or curiosity, but because you are annoyed that I'm not at work. I hope that's not the case. I'm due in 2 days, and while I'm doing well, I'm very worn out.

He wrote back:
Sorry, just excited for you. Won't bother you anymore so that I won't annoy you or irritate you! Sounds like you are stressed out!

So obviously, I felt like a tool for being kind of mean, but it worked! I wrote him back again saying:
I'm sorry if I was mean, I was just worried that you were upset with me. My doc actually wrote me a note suggesting that I take it easy at home but I didn't give it to you on Tuesday because it felt un-necessary. I'm bored at home but the rest is much needed. Thanks for being excited for me, I'll call you when it's time.

I'm relieved that he at least FAKES that he's not annoyed that I'm not at work, and it sounds like he won't bug me anymore. I'm glad this situation is over with, it's taken a lot of weight off of my shoulders!

You replied PERFECTLY! Very well said! Sure you *could* be working, but you have another stuff to do baby-wise and I'm sure you're friggin' exhausted! screw him! if you were on vacay he wouldn't be calling, and he should treat it as such!

2 days!

Oh that's great Breanna!!! Glad it all is done and you don't have to think about it.
Hope Reid makes his debut soon . You've made such a good home for him- he just doesn't want to come out

"could be working"? Excuse me but your baby is due NOW!! In UK it's common practice to finish up from work 2 weeks or more before your due date. I'd like to have seen what he'd be like if you had to do that!

You handled it well and I hope you don't feel that you were mean? Cos you totally weren't. It was a polite but firm and valid reply you sent him.
