Angela.. Versad... GOOD STUFF!!!!!!
So i got there and changed into my get up. Since i know you guys LOVE my pictures:
They put on my allergy braclets and made the OR staff redo the OR LOL.
Talked to the anethesiologist and told him I DONT DO WELL WITH ANESTHESIA! I told him neither does my mom. We've both had horrible reactions in the past.
Got my IV and that sh-t hurt!!!!!! He let me pick my gadge needle though lol. I choose the smallest they had -- 22.
Went into the OR and had a nice conversation with everyone. I saw they had propofol for me and i was like OOOHH!!! Propofol and we got into a discussion how i knew that lol. (Vet nurse!) Then we talked about Tropical Storm Hanna and how i should have been a meteorologist to make 100k a year to be wrong.
Then came the versad. Felt like i had been drinking and then i was out.
I woke up and was in agony. They gave me some toridol. Twice. And then 2 extra stength motrin.
Had my ginger ale and grahmn crackers.
Sat up. got dizzy and felt sick.
Laid back down. Had some Zofran.
Sat up.... we all watched the color drain out of my face. Nurse retook my BP, it was fine. Then i was like someone needs to get me something fast and sure enough -- everything came up. 500cc's of stuff. Then i felt great and went home 10 minutes later LOL.
So.. what did they find?
MULTIPLE polyps!!! The large one and several smaller ones, so Dr K did a D&C and got rid of everything. He said my next period might come a little late and its going to be light since he got rid of my thick linning i had. He said i shouldnt have bad cramps anymore either.

I know versed is the BOMB! LOL Thats why I'm so mad I can't have it (I broke a nurses ribs was put in four point leather restraints and was given haldol--the drug you see in the movies that they give you one shot and your asleep in seconds-- because I got so psychotic)
Ok but giving your a CARBONATED DRINK when you woke up---*smacks the nurses* OF COURSE you were sick. Its best to wait a couple hours (4) before drinking the bubbles . Next time for your IVF---try jello/crackers and ice chips/water. Stay away from the bubbles!
Glad it mainly went well otherwise---did they suck out the cyst also?

Nope they left the cyst -- They are getting that during IVF.
So now, I am all clear for IVF!!! I think Dr K is putting me on BCP's though to regulate my cycle -- it sounds like i wont get a period maybe? I was so doped up on toridol and versad and propofol... lol. So around Sept 20thish i go in for a blood test and go from there.
Right now my pain is comprible(sp) to my ususal AF cramps. I took 5 advil since i threw up my 2 motrin.
I feel great otherwise! Im ready to go do things but im in bed resting like i am supposed to.

I'm glad it went well other than getting sick. Sounds like everything is on track with your IVF schedule! Yay! I bet you're so excited! When my brother had his wreck they gave him Versad too. They ended up having to restrain him and give him haldol too because he kept trying to get up and leave.

Ok good just checking...they must have given you the lower dose of Toradol then. Its like the IV ibuprofen and I just was worried that may get to much Ibuprofen (yes i'm a worry wart about medical stuff LOL). Toradol was my fav post surgery/procedure drug!---you have good taste in your drugs LOL

All in all the surgery seemed like it went well and I'm really happy about that!! I hope your doc is right about the cramps!!
I'm also glad that you're doing relatively OK at home. I hope the pain eases really soon.

Ehh my weekend consists of Tropical Storm Hanna. (was supposed to have a block party tomorrow at my parents... thats not happening anymore) Which means knowing our electric company, at some point i'll lose power. I am waiting for the next dose of advil to kick in so i can go outside and get my deck and cats ready for the wind and rain. DF is gonna help me with that. (Need to take down my hanging plants, secure the BBQ, etc etc)
Other then the small cramps, and occasional omg i feel like i am going to fall asleep -- i feel great. I really dont like wearing a pad though -- so i am hoping by monday the bleeding stops. I bled A LOT after the procedure (it was ALL over). They were concerned for a bit, but it trickled off. RIght now its really light too. Its like a day 4 of 5 bleeding for me. (If i could id use a light tampon thats how light it is)
I just wanted to add the nurses at my place are SUPER nice. The one nurse just called me to see how i was feeling cause she was worried about me. I told her i was feeling great and thanked her for the zofran (Shes good with needles, she gave me it IM and i didnt feel it!) :-) She said when I have my retrieval, i should make sure shes there cause she wants to take care of me again. Awe!!! She was awesome. My doc is also gonna make copies of the pics of the polyps for me and i can get them at my next appointment (in 2 weeks) so i will be sure to share them with all :-)

Zofran was invented by god HIMSELF. Reglan can cause dystonia {was on it at onset of symptoms b/c I throw up randomly and ridiculously} and make it worse, so I can't touch it. GLad things are going OK!
