LOL great topic title huh!!

I was wondering... do you know roughly at all how long downs syndrome screening blood results take to be processed? I know it's different overseas than to UK. I had my bloods taken 2 weeks ago today and haven't heard back yet. The midwife said I'd get a call if it showed high risk and a letter if it showed low risk.

I'm getting anxious

I THINK only like 72 hrs. Not 100% sure. Most people i know if under 35 skip it since they only tell you you COULD have a downs baby and it can't tell you if you DO have a downs baby. Plus the false positive on COULD are high.
But after a couple weeks--wow I would really think your go to go by then. Just call your provider they should be able to tell you over the phone!

Just wanted to add, I got the screening done with Liam and I didn't get the results until my next appointment--almost a month later.

hmm I think I will call up on Monday. I know it's a general high or low risk and there are risks of the results being incorrect. But she deffo said I'd get a call if it's high risk to go in and discuss, or a letter in the post if it's low risk.

I just wanted to add...i'm sure it make a big difference if they have a full lab there or if they have to send it out somewhere (that usually adds TONS of time). I say call and ask...then tell us so we all know also!

Generally in these cases, I've heard that no news is good news.

I haven't heard anything about my blood test results that I had done on Aug 12. either. Similarly, the midwive said that if they found something they would call otherwise, they'd just update me at my next appointment on Sep. 16.
