I'm getting scared. I don't want to be in labor for 20 + hours. I'm excited though. One more week and who knows what can happen before then or if it will all happen after my due date. I can't believe I'm next in line with my due date.

We have everything ready. Our bags are packed and the carseat got installed last week. I'm working this coming week for the full 5 days. My last day is Friday.

How are you feeling, Angela?

Awww Resi, when it actually happens, you wont have to think about how long it's taking because you'll be engrossed in the breathing/relaxation etc.

Look what my ticker says today! "I'm ready to come into the world" I'm crying from this. I don't know why. I'm not THAT scared of labor and delivery. I know that I can do it and will do it. I'm just feeling all emotional about it all ready being time to meet him. Every time I think of him being born and put onto my chest for the first time I start crying. They are good tears though.

Any day now Resi! I'm so excited for you! I know you will do just fine. I had a friend in college that had a baby. She decribed the delivery as uncomfortable at times but so empowering. It was all natural too. I've never heard it described like that. Now when I think about delivery and always think about it being an empowering experience and than it doesnt sound as scary.

And angela....i suppose you can be any day now too! Maybe little L will cooperate and and say in another week or so

I'm so excited for you guys!!!

Try not to be scared. Empowering is a great word for describing it! And generally speaking, when women have 20+ hours of labor it's counting from the first contraction. The whole time isn't hard labor. My labors were relatively short (6 hours 49 min and 6 hours 20 min) but both times contractions started less than 5 minutes apart and a minute long so much of it was hard labor for me. Trust me, you don't really think about the time when you're in the middle of it, you just do it! You both will do great!!!
