A. I'm sick of wacky cycles that are "not that wacky" but never ovulate or finish in the same time frame.
B. Once again, after an ovulation on day 12 last month, I'm on day 15 this cycle with no surge detected and no real fertile CM till today and I think thats cause I cant tell the difference in preseed/ejaculation together and watery
C. I'm now on about a month and half of vitex and my chart looks like nothing i"ve had before and I'm still waiting to ovulate. I also am on month 2 of B6
D. I didnt take baby aspirin this month so it can't be preventing me from ovulating.
E. I also typically start on day 24/25/26 no matter when I ovulate (are you FRIGGING KIDDING ME!). So my chances are already way down this month if I dont ovulate till day 16 and start day 24/25

I HAD a doc appt this coming Thurs to get the ball rolling again on fertility tests specifically progesterone. Since I STILL havent ovulated, I have to move that cause a 4dpo progesterone test is useless. I need to see if the corpeus luteum picks up in the second part of the 2ww and 4dpo wont tell me that.

Well ok, I will tell you what I honestly think (I think I have before, but I can't remember, lol).

UGH Vitex! I personally hate the stuff and feel like it gives empty promises, LOL. But that's me. I think you will get preggo naturally on you own, once you address the progesterone issue (which really is usually an ovulation issue, partially at least).

You can still have your appt, but just get your lab done when you need to and have them phone you your results. At your doc appt this week discuss what you will do when the results get back if they are too low or whatever, so you have a plan of attack already waiting in the wings.

And finally, sometimes when I see your charts I think that you are "That Woman" who would get preggo pretty quick on clomid ($30, no insurance, Walmart). There are tons of examples of women like that on the net or JM--sometimes a girl just needs an ovulatory boost! Or better yet, try Femara. Less side effects For Sure, and I think it is on Walmarts's discounted drug list too.
Of course, I think you most likely have everything you need to get preggo on your own naturally, and that it WILL happen (and I am not trying to sound like I am pushing drugs on you), but I would bring up the femara with your doctor at least to talk about at what point you will want to try it. It won't thin your lining like Clomid, it has no adverse effects (unless you take it when preggo), and it didn't give me ton of preggo symptoms like Clomid did. Something to think about.

I really don't mean to sound like a drug peddler, I just want all my friends to be preggo and happy! The sooner the better! LOL

I had NO luck with vitex. It made me O late, and my temps pre-O were a lot higher. It didn't do anything "good" for me. I have heard if you already ovulate on your own, vitex can make things worse. I did try fertilaid, and I had a lot of success with that. In fact, I stopped b6, and just took fertilaid starting in june, and now my cycles are so predictable and normal. I have 12 day lp's, and no more spotting between AF's. I also used to start on day 25/26/27 regardless of O, but the past 2 months, my cycle length is finally corresponding with when I O. So if you're looking for natural remedies, give fertilaid a shot. I only took 1 pill a day, as opposed to the 3 they suggest, but it seemed to do the trick for me. I also usually take less than recommended because I am smaller.

I would also keep the doctor appt. It'll help them to at least take note of your symptoms, and can decide what tests to order based on that. I also think you will get pregnant on your own, but clomid might help a bit. I know my body took forever to get back to normal after losing the baby at 14 weeks, and your body might be taking a little longer too.

*EDIT* I said vitex can make things work....it should have been, vitex can make things WORSE if you ovulate on your own already

We don't get Vitex here so I can't comment. You know I had success with the B6 for LP length. Maybe it's too much at once? I don't know? Looks like you are getting ready to O though.

O for you!

The first cycle we were ttc I started taking vitex, epo and B6. That cycle I had a 9 day luteal phase. I freaked out, stopped taking anything besides my prenatals and I got pregnant the next cycle. Now, obviously it didn't work out but I don't think it was due to a progesterone issue. Anyway, the point is that I think something that I took (and it could have been the vitex) was screwing with my cycle that first cycle.

I think you are on the right track to getting your progesterone checked and I think Michelle had some good suggestions.

I really didn't think taking Clomid would work for me since I was already Oing on my own, but it worked. I can't be totally sure it was JUST the Clomid or also the HSG and acupuncture, but the Clomid certainly didn't hurt.

I think Michelle is right and you'll get pregnant naturally or with just a bit of help.

O dust coming your way!

I have used Vitex in the past and unfortunately, it never worked for me.....it's not to say it won't work for you, but if I were you I would just go with doctor's orders....in the end, Vitex is not well understood and might have some negative effects if you do become pregnant.....you definately want to make sure that you are safe and closely monitored by a doctor. I really hope that you receive more answers and support soon

Thanks ladies- I'm hoping to either keep the doc appt or move it to like Monday or Tuesday of next week. That way I can maybe get a more accurate progesterone count. The doc I"m going to has a great reputation and while they aren't RE or infertility specialists, they do see many women like me that are not infertile but have some problems still like progesterone.

So I've tried the cream (never again), Vitex and B6. I'm staying on Vitex till she tells me to quit and B6 is never a bad thing. I've looked at Femara and am very interested in Femara if she suggests it as an ovulation/luteal phase assistance. My insurance covers both. I know SOMETHING is going on because my cycles are just too jacked up as far as never being the same even when I'm not on some kind of meds/herbs

I'm also spotting each month before I start which is typically a progesterone thing. I"d love prometrium or Femara or both if its all I need
