So today is my last day at my current job.. well they just told me that my insurance runs out tonight at midnight! Are you kidding me! So now I cant start the 100mg of Clomid because I wont have insurance at my new job until Dec 1st! I'm sooo irritated right now! I guess we are TTC without medicine to help me ovulate until then.. ugh

I'm sorry to hear that. I hate when plans fall apart. I hope it happens with out assistance so you don't even have to worry!
Are you not ovulating on your own?

I'm so sorry! Have you looked into COBRA? I'm not sure if COBRA is a nation-wide thing or not, but that might help you through if it is available to you.

I did look into cobra.. but its too expensive in this area.. i'd rather take the 2 1/2 months off and save the money for the little one!

Go to TARGET, do not pass go, OR pay $200. It is on their "list". The 100 might be a little more, but it's still wayyy cheaper!

I got my Clomid at Walmart since insurance didn't cover it. 50 mg was $9 so I think 100 mg would be $18 there.
I hope you are still able to get your clomid so you can O!

well not the me part but I hear Wal-mart is cheap. Plus it its a huge amount more the 100mg just ask them to give you the 50mgs but enough for you just to take two (they don't always offer up the cheapest option because people hate to take more pills).

If you don't have insurance until December 1st, have you thought about NOT getting pregnant/avoiding? Group insurance can deny maternity coverage if you get pregnant prior to having insurance and private insurance with maternity coverage after you are already pregnant is VERY expensive. We're talking anywhere from $800 - $1500/month.
If you are not going to do COBRA, I would consider avoiding. Total insurance charges + my co-payments for my first pregnancy including a routine vaginal delivery totaled slightly over $13,000 and you could tack on a lot more if you end up with a c-section. I absolutely could not imagine having to pay all of that out of pocket.

Crap.. I didnt even think of that! I will need to check. I know that MA has some pretty good laws about coverage for pregnant women. Esp since it is now mandatory for EVERYONE in MA to have insurance. I'll need to look into this. For now.. condoms it is.. Chris is not going to be thrilled!
