I don't remember feeling like this last time (although I did have high blood sugar then). However, I am thirsty a lot these days. At first I figured it was my body's way of getting the extra fluids for baby, but I'm wondering if maybe it's GD? I know w/ regular diabetes that thirst is a sign. But I don't know 'cause it's also been really hot here still (it won't cool down till November or December, probably).

If it's any consolation... I don't drink very much pre or during my pregnancy... but I have been feeling really thirsty lately.

well you can test this pretty easy on your own---drink a bunch of water till your urine is clear for a couple hours. If your still feeling really thirsty after that-I would call and let your doctor know. It could be simple heat/dehydration or yes unfortunately it can be a sign of GD. I'm hoping for the heat being the issue! KUP!!!

I would bring it up at your next appt for sure. They can at least do a random blood sugar which would take 2 seconds. Did you have GD with Abby? Either way, if it concerns you, I would get it checked out. Better to be safe.

I didn't have GD w/ Abby. My blood sugar was a bit high so I monitored it w/ diet. Abby wasn't a big baby either (well, she was big considering my size, but she was 6 lbs. 14 oz. so not huge or anything).

I am not constantly thirsty or anything, but I notice I'm just really, really paranoid w/ this pregnancy.
