Ok... so I'm new to all this. I wasn't able to distinguish my CM over the past week because I was "getting down to business" all the time, and I didn't have OPKs with me. I'm really not sure when I ovulated this cycle. I usually ovulate around day 20 or so and AF usually comes on day 35. I took an OPK yesterday and it was negative, of course I've never used them before. I have no idea how long it takes for your LH surge to go away after o'ing. Can I please have some tips on when to test? I have a whole bunch of IC's and 2 digis. DH doesn't want me to buy a FRER because I have so many tests already. Let me tell you, I'm definatley feeling the pain of the 2WW!

Ovulation strips would do nothing now if you are 6dpo. The LH surge is before you ovulate and it looks like you are past ovualation. The LH surge is actually long gone before you ovulate, so afterwards, you can sometimes not even detect a second line

I wouldnt test for pregnancy for at least 6 more days

I'm just thinking I might not have ovulated day 18, because I never have that early. Maybe 12 days from day 22?.... if I can wait that long.

Personally, and this is easy for me to say since I'm not in the 2ww, I would wait until the day before or day off your AF.

This can save alot of heartache!!

I agree.. While it is possible to get an accurate result sooner (and trust me I know the wait is killing you..) but I would say to wait at least 6 more days..

Good Luck!

I was 13 DPO when I got my BFP but it was so dark and came up so fast that I bet I could have gone a few days earlier. So I'd say 11 or 12 but don't count yourself out if its a BFN then.

Ditto on the OPKs not doing you much good right now. Since you aren't sure when you Od it's probably wise to wait for the missed period. But if you're like so many of us you won't be able to wait that long! I tested at 10 DPO and got my BFP. The problem with testing early is you may get a false negative. But chances of a false positive as very slim!

I'd say 12DPO earliest.

Personally I wouldn't test until AF is late but I know how hard it is to wait.
