Or how about we talk about your ovaries? Does anyone know what a woman's ovaries are doing while the woman is pregnant?

Man, TTC has become so boring these days.

I actually would like to hear about your ovaries...have you gotten your scans yet? When is your IUI? I know that you are nearing your IUI time, but I'm not sure...give an update As for my ovaries, I'm not sure...but sometimes I feel sensations where my right ovary is located, almost like I will ovulate in a few days...sometimes I wonder whether my right ovary continues to enlarge, it feels like it sometimes.

yes ma'am let's here about your ovaries!!! I think, when it comes to preggo ovaries, they shut down and there is no hormone being produced to activate the enlargement of the follicles, the pregancy hormone overrides it...but I could be wrong. Certainly no eggs should be coming out I know that much!

Well the next time one of you ladies needs an internal ultrasound, make sure they do a peek at you ovaries and let me know I have always wondered.

As for me, I dunno what's going on in there. I actually think a cyst might be brewing. My ultrasound is Thursday and I am not looking forward to it. I have EWCM though, which I didn't get last cycle. And I have been having some cramps and bloat. Really, I should start taking some OPKs so I don't miss my O because I did schedule my ultrasound pretty late at CD 15. Eh. I wasn't feeling anything really earlier today when I started this thread and I was worried that nothing was happening, so we'll see.

I am always worried that the probe will reveal a "hot mess" in there. I wish I had one of those machines at home

I'll buy you a cooter cam for home if you promise to start taking OPK's. Can I buy cooter cams on Ebay? How do you feel about used?

Dont tell me you are a picky, high maintenance bgitch who requires NEW ALL THE TIME!

Last time they peeked at my pregnant ovaries, my left one was housing my corpus luteum and my right one was growing a nice, big, booger of a cyst. I'll let you know what they are doing when I go in for my 20 week scan.

Well, I will know more Thursday! I don't want to do IVF anytime soon because we are buying a house and we will need new cars (neither one of our cars are kid friendly. One is a 2 seater and the other is a 1994 convertable) and I am worried about saving up for future maternity leave. Plus, our health insurance covers IUIs but not IVF. That is $8500 I would rather spend on a down payment for a car, or a pergola for our new backyard (if the dang house would just get built already!). Oh yeah, or much needed savings So I am thinking this cycle will go nowhere, and as long as I don't have a cyst or anything, it is onto injectibles for a bunch of tries. I think maybe after our 3rd injectable cycle we would start looking at other options, although maybe sooner depending on how DH's sperm hold up. But I would definitely like to avoid IVF if at all possible. Truth be told, I think we would put TTC on hold for a good 4 years if it came to that.

And here is my left one---top right-small black spot with big white cyst on it (apparently this one is deciding not to vacation )

Whoppee for ovary pics. I don't have another scan until 32 weeks so I won't have any ovary pics to show.

I hope you don't have a cyst Michelle! As for my ovaries, I'm hoping my ovary has released an egg in the last 24 hours, or will in the next 24 hours. I am not using OPKs this cycle because I think the stress from them is what delays my O!

I just had my scan last week and got some pretty cool ovary pictures however I didn't get any to take home - bummer....but I had some pretty ones showing the classic PCOS "ring of pearls" on the outline of both ovaries. It was a joyous meeting with the cooter cam!

I love the ultrasound pictures Angela!

I think I will ask for copies of my pics on Thursday, and then we can compare preggo ovaries to subfertile ones! Unless they look horrible, then there is no way I am getting copies LOL.

I hope not taking OPKS works for you!

Ah, yes. The ring of pearls. $20 says I have some jumbo necklaces on my ovaries too! They have been looking fabulous lately, but I haven't been giving them enough bacon. I think they are rebelling.
