Hi all, I am checking in to tell you that I am okay.

The storm hit and we didn't have much damage. Just a small tree that blew over. Some of our neighbors lost pieces of their fences. Others around the area with mature trees had more damage.

We got power back for just a couple hours on Saturday, then off again. Then power came back on Sunday morning and has been on since. We are very lucky since so many are doing without. Our power lines are underground so I think that's why ours was restored so quickly.

All my family was affected but everyone is okay and no major damage.

I am at work now since I am essential personnel at the hospital. I came up here in part because I knew I could at least get on the internet for a short time. We don't have internet at home.

My brother, SIL and niece are staying with us since they think it will be 2 weeks before they get power, but I don't know how long they will be with us because they may go stay with friends who live closer to their house later.

I have not had any more spotting, so for now I am just waiting to go into my doctor's appointment on Wednesday (assuming they are open). I really think the spotting was from irritation to my cervix from my progesterone suppositories. Twice I have inserted it just a little two far I think and had a tiny bit of pink on the applicator afterwards. And the brown spotting happened one day after one of those times so I think I probably nudged my cervix with the applictor.

I am doing okay but a little on edge today. It is difficult to have company even if it is my family. My emotions are all over the place and I kind of want to wait until they leave before I have my ultrasound because on the off chance that it was bad news, I don't want them there. I don't want to be bawling and have them in my house and have my 5 year old niece constantly wanting my attention and not understanding that I'm upset (she doesn't know I'm pregnant). So as horrible as it is, I am hoping they'll go stay with their friends after tonight.

Thank you so much for all your thoughts and prayers! I will try to get online and update on Wednesday after my doctor's appointment if I get internet back on at home or if I go to work. If not, maybe I could text someone how it goes?

I was worried about you! SO glad to hear things didn't hit you too badly. But I'm sure that must stink with your family around. Right now I certainly wouldn't feel up to any company staying with me, let alone with no electricity and no internet to vent to us! I really hope you are able to see the doctor on Wednesday. I know thinks are crazy for you right now, and seeing a healthy baby would just make everything so much better. I'd be happy to keep the girls updated if you want to send me your cell number. Might come in handy come May as well

Hey Shannon! I'm glad to see you made it through the storm okay, and that the spotting stopped!

You lucky thing, you have electricity! I don't have it yet. Did your water ever go out? Ours did, and no running water + no electricity is not fun. I am happy to hear that you guys didn't get much damage. I feel really bad for people who did get a lot of damage. There are some beautiful subdivisions around here with huge pine trees that just got ravaged. Unfortunately those big pine trees go right through houses when they go down.

Anywho, I hope all goes well with your doctor's appointment!
