The 2WW is killing me! I turn into this paranoid, superstitious crazy lady for the entire time. I've caught myself doing some things that don't even make sense...

Wearing only my looser-fitting pants... don't want a tight waistband pinching my fallopian tubes and preventing eggie from reaching its destination, don't ya know.

Avoiding DTD with DH... poor guy... doesn't he know the terrifying risks of an orgasm shooting the eggie right out of my uterus??

I turned down Subway today because I heard somewhere that preggie women are not supposed to eat cured meats... as if hypothetical-fertilized-eggie has a beating heart and an umbilical cord.

Every little twinge, tug or sore nip sends me to the Internet, trying to find stories of women who "just knew" at 7 or 8 DPO that they were pregnant.

Every day that passes with no noticeable symptoms sends me to the Internet, trying to find stories of women who "just didn't realize" they were pregnant until 5 or 6 weeks had passed due to lack of symptoms!

I even caught myself putting my hand over my lower abdomen last night, like I was trying to give eggie an encouraging pat on the head... if it had a head.

Am I the only one? I'd love to know I am not alone! Please share your own 2WW superstitions!!

OMG Kyle! That's totally me! I refused to DTD, or work out. Afraid I would shake it out. I was also eating a pregnancy diet to make sure I got all the natural nutrients. And here's the craziest. I started to think AF came because I was starting to feel nervous about getting pregnant. Then started blame myself even though I know it's rediculous.

I have been studying all of the pregnancy charts on FF trying to find ones worse than mine that ended in a positive. And my chart really isn't that bad!

No DTD in our house in the 2ww.

And definately analyzing every twinge and gas.

Oh yeah... FF charts. I can scroll through those all day! Sometimes I can't freakin' believe the ones that ended up PG! Like... no EWCM, BD happened 4 days before O or something... and she's PG?? LOL

I know exactly what you mean, Alice... what helps me is to remember, there's only a 25% chance of conceiving any given month, even with 100% perfect health, ovulation, timing, etc. Sometimes sperm just doesn't meet egg. Who knows why nature designed it this way?

During my 2WW, I did similar things and I had more symptoms than the month I actually conceived. It was the craziest thing. Even the months when DH wasn't around close to my O time, I'd still have symptoms once I had O'ed. And I would find myself doing some of the things you mentioned.

I don't drink starting 6dpo. I stare at my chart--for way longer then i should---and it doesn't change just because I stare at it. I get on youtube and watch births. Hmmm thats all I can think of now. I will be more conscious of it this cycle.

The last cycle I really analyzed symptoms was my first Clomid cycle. If you remember though, I was devastated when AF showed up. Since then since I have been taking an HSG trigger and fertility drugs, there is no point in analyzing them since they all have side effects Clomid was the worst, like preggo symptom city with the cramping and the tons of cm and other symptoms. Femara isn't so bad though.

So there is a cure to over analyzing symptoms! Take drugs so you can't tell the difference between the side effects and actual symptoms LOL. The only downside is that I now am hyper analytical with pregnancy tests. Oh well, you win some you lose some

During my last 2 WW, I believed that my necklace would bring good luck and so I continually clutched it, kissed it, and put the gem in my mouth. When I found out that I was pregnant, I continued to do this....I still do this, the same necklace is around my neck and I'm still always clutching it, kissing it, and putting it in my mouth. I am afraid of germs, and wash it sometimes, but I hold on to it like you wouldn't believe. Also, because I am the most nervous during my ultrasounds, I wear my "lucky" red hooded sweater to my visits with a little toy Garfield in my pocket (I know, sounds a bit strange, but I clutch that toy when I'm nervous). I get nervous a lot, as you can tell, but at least I feel better when I feel that my lucky things are surrounding me.
