I have a friend who really wants to be in playboy (she's 19) and I knew you were trying out. What happend with that? What is the process like? I figured you'd be a good person to get info from for her!

Has anyone seen that movie House Bunny? FMIL and FSIL went without me so now I'll never go... but all weekend long they were mocking the part where the girl meets someone, and to remember their name she uses a demonic voice and is all "JOOO ANNNN" and it was hilarious watching them do it, I bet it was even better in the movie...

There are a couple ways you can do it.
If you get on to the playboy website they have a more in depth version so I would send your friend there.
But you can mail in your own picture (body shot in last 3-5 months I think), and a face shot to an office. With proof of age.
Someone else can mail it in also--a perk to doing this--they get a "finders" fee if you get picked.
They were having (not sure it they still are) casting calls around the country where you can sign up and go. The always have some here and there but the just plain open ones may still be going on. They sometimes do the specialty calls also "housewives" "college big 10" etc.

I don't know if one way is better then another. I would maybe say if anything---become friends with someone in the mansion or who works with the magazine and get them to notice you.

I got to hang out with Michelle (housewife cover of may 2005) while in Las vegas at the coyote ugly bar in the New York, New York Casino...we had a couple photos taken of us by one of her people who took down my name and info and said they wanted to submit me! It was a dream . They said that IF "they" were more interested in me "they" would contact me. (never got the call). This was during my bachorlette party! I was already on cloud nine that i got to hand out with a playboy cover girl (she was not the centerfold that month), but for a photographer to ASK me my info!! I was in heaven! LOL
Michelle was telling me the way she got in was a calling that they had in Chicago (at the time I lived in CO). She gave me a website and said that they have these calls all over the USA and that I should keep my eye open and go to one. So I of course later that night got on line and looked them up. They did have one in Aug(ish) in Denver but I couldn't make it-i was busy my wedding was 9/2. Then when Troy and I got married and moved to Chicago I kept my ears pealed! I found out that there was a call with photoshots in Chicago in May 2008!!!!!!! I was so excited! I knew I was going to be in the states for my 30th birthday party so I could go right!?!?!?!?!?!

Nope I got the chicken poxs a couple weeks prior. Which may have been ok since I wasn't the weight I wanted to be anyway, as it was I would have been the heaviest or second heaviest girl in playboy LOL (anna nicole smith was the heaviest weight playmate).

So I have given up on being IN the magazine--but darn it--I'm not giving up on meeting THE MAN himself....Mr. Hefner! Meeting him is the real reason I just wanted the call back-because you get to go to the mansion for the shoot!!!! They have a yearly breast cancer fundraiser at the mansion--since I don't know any famous people to get me in LOL, I think I will have to buy myself in one of these days!
Wish me luck ladies--i have a feeling I am running out of time to meet him!
