Just a quickie... Anyone here suffer with IBS? And if so, was it worse during pregnancy?

I used to be plagued with it whilst on BCP but when I stopped BCP, the symptoms of IBS disappered. My doc said it would most likely return in pregnancy as it's the same hormones which are in the pill.

The past few weeks I have had the pleasure of the symptoms returning - however, they are different to what I had previously. The stomach pains are the worst. And I'm at my wits end, it's so painful

Anyone have any tips to minimise the episodes? It's baan constant for about 2 to 3 weeks now. I know baby is fine as he/she is kicking about lots, but I am fed up of the pain and "toilet trouble". I don't want to have to go get meds again, not whilst pregnant. So if anyone has any "natural" or diet-related tips, I'd be really appreciative of you sharing them with me?!

Well I have IBS, but my issue is the loose stools. Are you having the same problem? Or just gas? Make sure you're eating lots of green veggies. And fiber will help them pass without as much pain. Gingerale always helps with my upset stomach.

Not loose stools. I used to alternate between bunged up and loose. But just now it's moreso the pain and having to go sit on the loo for ages in order to pass anything lol It's not sore to pass and it's a "normal" poo...

gotta love these topics!!
