I have a terrible cold. My nose is so stuffed and I have a horrible sinus headache. I just want to sleep the day way, of course that's not possible. Curtis has it too and so he's not sleeping well.. which just makes things tougher.

Last night our dryer started on fire. So now I have a soggy mess of laundry in my laundry basket, and a stinky bathroom with the dryer pulled out. It's messy and I just want to get it gone and have a new one right away so I can finish my laundry... I'm waiting for the land lord. He called around 10 but it only rang twice and I didn't get there in time, I called him back but there was no answer. I feel like crying I'm overly emotional and just dragging!

I have an appointment tomorrow so I'm going to see what he suggest for cold medicine, I know I could search around here and ask you ladies but I am SUPER paranoid of what I can take while pregnant. I really don't take anything when I'm not and so now I really don't want to but I am suffering The first time I took Tylenol was right after Curtis' birth...

Sorry I just needed to vent... the smell of smoke isn't helping my throat or nose!!!

It seems Sudafed and Tylenol are the way to go. I'm so sorry you're feeling poopy! And darn the dryer- what crappy timing.

HUGE {{{{{{{{{{HUGGLES}}}}}}}}}}. Try some peppermint or eucalyptus cents---for two things--its great at covering up odors and it could help wit your cold and be safe for baby. If you have any questions on drugs at any time a great site is www.safefetus.com you can search them all and find out how safe they are for you and baby AND during Breastfeeding.
I hope you get better soon...and get a new dryer soon!

I'm so sorry that you feel sick But I have heard over and over again that Tylenol is safe during pregnancy....there is no reason you have to suffer, but I'm glad that you will talk to your doctor about it tomorrow

Tylenol is safe as long as you follow the dosage. I've been taking a couple a day for a week or so, for bad headaches.

Edited to add:

My midwife's website has this to say Hope it helps you some. It says Robutissin DM, Sudafed, Tylenol cold...

Thanks so much for the help ladies! I'm going to go over all these with my doctor! I'm also one to keep my doc aware of what I'm doing just incase anything happens, then he's on top of things too.

The dryer is gone!!! Apparently he must have been calling just to say that one is being ordered or whatever and then he'll do the switch then, but James called and told him that this one is STINKY and needs to be removed.. so they came and did that. Now I'm going to clean around there cause it's obvious it hasn't moved in years haha. We get a new one (I think they might get dented ones or something on wholesale haha we got a brand new fridge when we moved in but it had a tiny little dent in it, so did the in laws when they were living in these units) on Wednesday so that's not too long of a wait

Aw, I hope you feel better soon! Robitussin worked wonders for me when I had a horrible cold at the end of my pregnancy with Liam. I'm like you, I don't like to take anything in general and I really don't like to take anything when pregnant. So to take the Robitussin my cold was REALLY bad. Thankfully, it knocked it out in a couple days--which was a good thing because I had him less than a week later. I don't think I could have survived labor with that cold!

And YAY for a new dryer! I'm glad they got the stinky one out of there. That can't have been helping the way you're feeling!

I'm sorry you're sick! I have a terrible cold too and I hate it. Fortunately, I don't have to worry about medication, though what I took doesn't seem to work.

Haha Jenn, ya it's hard to breathe in from your nose and out of your mouth when your nose is stuffed up! I would hate to deliver with a cold! Eep!

I'm airing out my house, it's a tad cold but refreshing none the less. Curtis is finally a sleep so I'm going to join him

Thanks ladies, I am feeling much better after complaining haha.

Glad you're getting a new dryer. Ugh, I hate dealing w/ stuff like that. I had dryer trauma earlier in the summer but at least it didn't cause a stinky mess AND it was before I found out I was preggo so all the crawling around in small spaces to clean didn't freak me out.

I know what you mean about not taking meds. I really don't like to either, and if you're anything like me, Tylenol won't do a dang thing to help a sinus headache. I have been having them myself b'c of the muggy weather here & right now I am so grouchy because of that & a few other things today.

Feel better soon, hon! And get well vibes to Curtis too...I have never been sick at the same time as Abby, but I can only imagine! (((HUGS)))
