Nothing too major but hes getting his tonsils and adenoids taken out next Wednesday...short notice, we just found out today at his appt with the ENT. His tonsils are way larger then they should be and his snoring is getting worse and the doctor said its basically Children's Sleep Apena. So they take him to the or at 7:15am and he has to stay over night sense hes under 3. There's a small risk of bleeding 2-3% but they need to watch him just incase sense hes still so young.

The thread title scared me! But I'm glad it's nothing too major. I will keep Seamus in my thoughts and waiting on that update that says he's doing great. I hope it solves his sleep apnea, poor boy.

T & P, Justine. A little girl in our PR had the same thing a couple of months ago & she did really well. I'm sure it must be scary as a parent, though!

Aw Poor Seamus! I'm glad he can get this over with while he won't really remember for long and help with his sleep apnea, etc.

LOTS Of popsicles and LOTS of fluids. And if you look in his throat anytime in the first 2wks after don't freak! The white and black and flat out yucky looking stuff is totally normal! Brayden had his out when he was 20m old and tubes put in at the same time. Took him serveral days to eat normally but he did fine. Keep a few bibs handy because he will REALLY be slobbery!

It wouldn't be a bad idea to fatten him up a little before hand since you have a week. It normal to lose a couple pounds after this surgery since they can't really eat. KUP!!
