I'm not sure if this is normal, never had it with Seamus that I can remember. Yesterday I was puking(well dry heaving) and had diarrhea, and then last night I started getting Sharp pains kind of low on my right side around the front of my hip, (not low like where my uterus is but a little higher), they were shooting up and down that area for a few hours. This morning I wake and the pain is gone, I still feel puky, but thats to be expected. The problem I'm having now is when I went poo this morning(well it was 1pm when I woke up, thanks to dh watching Seamus) it was black, very very black. I have been bad about taking my Flinstones(My prenatals sense I can't stomach the actual ones) so I dont think its extra iron. Is the pain and such that I had yesterday a factor in today?

I wonder if you are just having regular gastro-irregularities....up until yesterday I have been suffering from constipation, and out of nowhere yesterday I got this diarrhea. Sharp stomach pains preceded the diarrhea, and I felt a little nausea from the pain. But all this lasted only 1/2 an hour, and today I feel much better. I spoke with my doctor about it today, and she told me not to worry....diarrhea is only a concern if it lasts for days where dehydration is a factor. Hope that you do feel better

Feel better soon! I'd just monitor the condition and see if it improves. You may have just been trying to pass something that's been lodged in there and you finally worked it out. Darker colored means older usually.

I'm not sure, but my stools have been darker sometimes lately.

was it dark dark brown or like a BLACK color or dark green. It the answer is black---call your doctor because black usually means old blood. If you have been throwing up a lot your stomach could have a small ulcer and it could be bleeding or some bowels are irritated-which could cause your stools to turn black. Its worth a call. If its dark green-i would think more iron, if its dark dark brown--just fine.
