We went home last night. We didn't get home until around 7:30 PM last night. Everything is going well. I'm feeling better but still recovering. I'm still sore and taking it very easy. I'm also very tired. I get maybe 2-4 hours of broken sleep each night. My mom is stayed with us last night and she is staying for the next few days/nights. Her and I are taking care of Oliver at night while Damon sleeps.

Oliver is doing great. My milk has come in and he is getting plenty. We nurse so much. Maybe every 2 hours give or take. My nipples are sore. I'm trying to work on getting him to latch on better but he does a decent job. I'm guessing he needs more in his mouth since my nipples are getting sore.

We have internet again. I won't be on much because I'm so tired and also busy with him. I will try and get some pictures online soon.

Being a mommy is great.

Well congrats again! I'm so happy to hear you both are home and doing well! I know it took me about 2 weeks to get completely used to BF and it didn't hurt at all anymore! So, just keep in mind that your relief is just around the corner! Can't wait to see pics

I am glad to hear that you're getting settled in with Oliver. It's nice that your mom is able to help out. I imagine it would be fun, and a great bonding experience for you and her to care for the baby together for the first few days/weeks. I bet Damon is just getting a bunch of sleep while he can and saving it all up for the many night wakings he is sure to be tending to soon.

Glad you guys are home & that you have your mom to help out. I never did EBF because Abby wouldn't BF till 3 weeks old, but from what I understand, the nipple soreness pretty much happens to everyone. Make sure you get some lanolin cream if you don't have it already 'cause that stuff is like a miracle cure. And yeah, the sleepless nights...I'm both dreading & looking forward to those!
