I would love to blame JM withdrawal lol, but it was just tired me.

Yesterday I went to kiss my hubby goodbye while half asleep. I slipped on the landing. I went completely head over heels, and landed on my lower back and hit all 9 hardwood stairs on the way down. I felt ok yesterday, but today I have a firm blue baseball above my right buttcheek, Bruises up the right side of my spine, and I can't completely rotate my shoulder. And I get to work tonight! YAY!

No JM for me to whine and lick my wounds!

Anyhoo, on to my next topic to save the moderators a post check.
DH bought me a new laptop and it arrived today. It's lovely, but runs on windows Vista. AND IT WILL NOT PICK UP MY INTERNET CONNECTION. I'm using my broken laptop now just staring at my nice new one. I bought it for internet and it won't work. My connection is run through a PC run on XP, but that shouldn't make a difference should it? So a little input please if you know anything about this. I don't want to return it.

Just browsing boards tonight.. thought I might be able to help with the computer problem. Almost all new laptops ship with the wireless capability turned off. Have you turned it on since you opened it? Depending on the brand of course, you should be able to enable it using the FN key and one of the F keys (F1, F2, etc.)

We had the same problem with my ex(husbands) laptop, it ran on Vista and for the longest time we couldnt get it to connect. You might want to try turning off the firewall. Or in our case, his Wi-Fi had to be turned on. Hope you get it all straightened out!

I know vista sucks and that my mom and many people I know Have to PAY EXTRA to get the "downgrade" Windows program. Now that says something when windows will not let you downgrade your new computer without paying extra.

I figured out the computer thing. It turns out my wireless router was haivng issues. So now I have a computer that works 100%!!!

On a down note.... I could do nothing at work. My arm is just not working. I couldn't lift patients, or anything! Even writing in a chart hurts.

That really sucks! I'm glad you got your computer taken care of, we'd hate to have you not get on JM!!! And falling, I've only really fallen (like that) once and I was 13. I still remember how badly it hurt and even more how embarrassed I was (it was in front of the school bus and I was in my cheerleading uniform!!)

On a good note, my computer is working. It was a router issue, not the computer at all. I love my new laptop. My shoulder can at least type!
