When I saw my OB yesterday she was telling me about screening tests and she also mentioned that a blood test could be run around 11 weeks to determine gender, but insurance wouldn't pay for it. Dh just kinda said eh, we can wait. But now I wish I had at least asked how much it costs. Does anyone know? I'm also wondering how accurate it is.
We'll probably just wait until 20 weeks but if it weren't too expensive and very accurate I might do the blood test. I'm kind of doubting it is though because I've never heard of anyone doing this.
Here something I found on Wikipedia. Said it was $25 for a kit then $250 for processing, probably a different test then what your doc was talking about but heres what it says
