Thanks for asking about us. We are doing good. The breastfeeding is going well. Sleep? I'm not getting much. I get broken sleep during the night time. He doesn't sleep longer than a hour or two at a time. It's hard at night! It takes forever to get him to sleep when we first go to bed. Then it's only for 1 hour. Then we are up. Towards the end of the night (which is early morning - 4 ishAM) I get maybe 2 hours in a row. I'm hoping he starts to sleep a little longer soon. I can get 4-7 broken hours of sleep each night.
Tomorrow we are going to get some professional photos taken.

Just out of curiousity, what time do you start trying to get him to go to sleep? My sister has a newborn and she said the later she can keep him up at night, the better he sleeps!

Resi, do you keep things dark (well, as dark as possible) and quiet at night, no talking or singing to him (it was sooo hard for me not to at first, now when I get up with him at night I'm like a zombie so no playfulness comes out of me!) when you get up to feed him? I found once I started doing that (and a bedtime "routine", not a schedule, we just always do bath/swaddle/nursing/bed), Ben really started to get his days and nights figured out. Now he almost always acts tired around his "bedtime" (7:30-8ish) and I think the routine helps him to know that this is nighttime and he can sleep longer.
Also, it seems like they are always in a growth spurt pretty much those first 6 weeks...it gets better when they kind of settle down and don't have to eat so often! Hang in there, you'll get sleep again, I promise!

Yes. I do all the above. We start getting ready around 8 PM. I keep it dark and don't talk etc. When he wakes I feed him and sometimes change his diaper with only a nightlight on.

Resi, maybe time and age will help with that? Perhaps he just needs to grow a little more Hope he gets into the swing of things fast!
Glad to hear breastfeeding is going well! That's great!

I can't believe it!! I got more sleep last night than since he was born!! About 8 1/2 hrs and I got most of that in solid sleep. He wasn't waking up to be fed. I had to wake him up a couple times and he only nursed for about 10-15 mins then. I was waking up about every hour just because I'm use to it. He slept next to me the whole time. I did not try to get him to sleep in his co-sleeper thing.
