In 2 weeks and about 9.5 hours (not that I'm counting), we should find out what we are having. I swear this child better cooperate and let us know after all s/he has put me through! I'm now dreading hearing, "It's a boy," only because I now don't like our boy's name choice, and we are having problems agreeing on something different. I think half the problem lies in us being teachers (because there are so many students I don't want my kid "named after") and the rest is just overanalytical firstborn Capricorn me! (Although Brant is getting there too....we liked Jackson but then he thought of the obvious...Michael, and we were like NO.) I have more options for a girl, though, and he's a lot more willing to let me pick if it is.

Truthfully, though, with everything that's going on what we really want is a healthy baby, hands down.

Edited for a typo I didn't notice earlier. Gosh, I have been so bad w/ typos/grammatical errors lately that I don't think I should be allowed to post any more!

How exciting, the BIG ultrasound is getting so close! I can't wait to hear what you're having. I'm sure that the name situation will work itself out. Eventually the two of you will have to agree on something! LOL I hear ya on the knowing-too-many-kids thing. A bad kid can really ruin a good name. Just remember that within a few days of having your own baby, that name will forever forth belong only to him/her... and not to the one, two, or ten other kids you once knew with the name. Good luck! p.s. I don't think of Michael when I hear Jackson.

Well, I was able to schedule my amnio so now I need to go in a 1/2 hour earlier...no biggie. I have no idea which procedure they will do first. I'd rather get the amnio out of the way first and then do the "fun" stuff, but I'm no medical expert.

As far as names, Brant told me to make a list and rank my choices. So I will do that one of these days...I'm in no real rush 'cause he won't really stop being busy till maybe Monday.

Yeah, I guess if I really liked the name nothing would stop me, but I have to admit that there are some names where the kids were so bad that we would never pick those. I did have a couple of Abbys in the past. One was okay...didn't always do her work but fine other than that. The other one was sweet, and I had my Abby the following year...you should have seen all the 8th graders stopping by demanding why I named my child after her, LOL. I didn't, but I remember thinking that name was cute.

I can't wait to find out what you're having. I actually like the name Jackson and have known a few persons who used it. I've never linked it to Michael Jackson in that way until now so perhaps you two are being overanalytical as you put it. LOL! But I'm sure you'll come up with something wonderful!
