I just wanted to share my excitement! I'm an aunt (again) as of Wednesday !!!! My little sister had her third baby (yes she is a crazy girl now with three children under the age of 4 - on purpose I might add!!!) on Wednesday - finally a baby boy - Brycen David!!!!

We're so excited she had a little boy as she has two DD's already!

Unfortunately ( and hear is the bad part) I wasn't allowed to ride up to PA with my parents and see them My sister told me she'd rather I come later after the first of the year so we could really hang out and do stuff....I told her I just wanted to come and see her and help out. Truth be told, she doesn't want my germy day care son around her new baby....does she think a house with two other toddlers isn't going to be germy? I was hurt and sad and had to watch my parents drive away with my box of boy baby stuff that I should be delivering myself to her. And my DS cried and said he wanted to go to his cousins house....it wasn't a pretty site. Do you think it's wrong of me to be upset?....I mean we're family....she's only a year younger than me, we were like best friends....I don't understand why I'm not welcome?

Congrats on being an aunt! As for not being welcome, ask to visit in a couple weeks when everything settles down. As a new mom I couldn't stand having a ton of people all over me and my baby. I wanted to relax and get to know this little person that had suddenly taken over my home. Give her some time to adjust to having three and get settled in and I am sure you'll be more than welcome!

I think your allowed to be upset. I think it was pretty rude for her to not want you around. Its not hard to wash your hands before you touch the baby, and honestly your son didnt' have to be in close proximity of the new baby just play with his other cousins.

But congrats on the new nephew! I like the name they chose.

Thanks ladies - we're pumped!

The problem with visiting is that I live 8 hours away from her....so I won't be getting up there anytime soon. The point was my parents ( who live about 1/2 hour away from me) drove up there but I was not welcome....so that's what made it hard for me to understand.

OH well - I'm excited none the less!!!
