I ADORE this blog and this woman. She lived "the city life" in LA and fell in love with a Rancher. She wrote and is writing a book about their love story called From High Heels to Tractor Wheels and their blog is about their life on a real ranch

She also does tons and tons of fantastic photography and ranch life. Her writing is hilarious and I can read it for hours. Every post is full of pictures so its almost like you are there. She's still head over heels in love with her husband and they have 4 kids who work the ranch with them (and they are little guys!)
She also names the cows and they have "conversations"

For a funny intro to the blog, you photog's will laugh at this-- seeing something so amazing you HAVE to get a picture of it immedietly. Even if it means you have to do it naked or wrapped in a curtain

I LOVE Pioneer Woman, her cooking recipes are yummy too (although she does love her butter!).

And you are right, her photos are fantastic.

Lauren.... I just want to tell you that I opened your post here at about 2 pm... and then I went to the blog you mentionsed, and I have been reading it ever since. I even brought my laptop into the kitchen to eat while I continued to read. I'm reading her story about how she went from LA to hometown to meet the love of her life. Its after 430pm now. haha... I love it Thanks for sharing

its soooo good. I relate to her in so many ways!! I've been there with a new boyfriend, and the ex calling and all... and her clumbiness and anxiousness and unsureness. And her story with Marlboro Man is similar to me with my DH and how we instantly connected and spent so much time together and I knew it was different with him.

Lauren, I can't thank you enough for introducing this to me

This was great ....

I went inside, walked up the stairs, entered my bedroom, and fell on the floor. What…just…happened? Staring at the ceiling, I tried to take it all in. My mind began to race. Do I need to learn how to whittle? Cook fried chicken? Ride a horse? Use a scythe? My face began to feel flushed. And children? Oh, Lord. That means we might have children! Will we have to name them Dewayne and Dolly? Oh my gosh. I have children in my future. I could see it plainly in front of me. They’ll be little redheaded children with green eyes just like me, and they’ll have lots of freckles, too. I’ll have ten of them, maybe eleven. I’ll have to squat in the garden and give birth while picking my okra. Every stereotype of domestic country life came rushing to the surface. My mind was going nuts.

LOVE IT!!!

I can't wait for her to post more of her love story...she's on my bookmarked list to read daily. Every time she posts a new installment I reread the entire previous love story....
