Lupron is giving me these big time cravings for sweets and salts... so today i had a craving for chocolate milk.

Im lactoseintolerent. VERY.

I had said chocolate milk. 12 oz of it.

I am paying the price. My stomach is KILLING me. And this was 10 hours ago!!!! Feels like my belly is on fire or something. Or like a swollwed a pine cone and its trying to make its way through my intestines. Ive taken a bunch of meds -- Immodium, Pepto, Pepcid.... Nada.

Oh man that sounds awful! I can only imagine what kind of cravings you are having right now for you to drink that knowing you are lactose intolerant. Isn't there anything made to alleviate your tummy symptoms?

Ok liten VERY carefully! I'm 100% lactose intolerant....I have been since birth. I was even tested for it at age 4! Yeah...not a good test to take I do not recommend it!

take simethicone (GAS X or oen of those meds.) Take a double dose NOW...and take a regular dose again in about an hour or 2.

YOGURT...with live cultures, or if you happen to thave the capsules iwth the cultures that's even better. But a cup of yogurt, per hour for at least the next 3 hours. The bacteria actually feeds off the lactose breaking it down similar to how the enzyme would do. Take 2 lactaid tablets now. Might not help much, but it won't hurt either.

Trust me. I've been hospitalized over cheese popcorn. I have learned the way lol. and ALWAYS keep lactaid-----or the generic walmart brand. I take 2 with each meal.

Oh and the 100% lactaid milk mixed iwth chocolate syrup is YUMMY and works. No pills needed

Oh side note: all the simethicone will break up the gas, and most likey give you a bit of diarrhea for about 2 or 3 hours....but it gets it out and over faster and you'll be ever so thankful!

Oh, no! Listen to Missy, she sounds like she knows her stuff Oh, and I heard a small thing (of course I've never put to practice) but if you have a craving, you should eat the opposite. Opposite of chocolate milk? Maybe yogurt-covered pretzels?

No prob! Or as Dear abby said today: You are welcome lol. I was born missing the lactase enzyme. I couldn't have anything with milk or milk products until they came out with the lactaid pills in the 90's. Even then I was afraid!
