Yeah you heard me.. I'm not peeing on ANYTHING this month. Not OPK's, HPT's, Dh, or any other acronym I can think of. I"m not temping, charting--- NUTHIN.

I woke up this morning and didnt give a rats butt what my temp was and thought "you know I can still TTC and take a break from charting". So as much as I love charting, I'm just not doing it this month. If I ovulate, I do, if I time it right, I do, and if we dont, we just dont, but I wont obsess hopefully

Anyone else tried this-- I remember when Breanna did and she regretted it!! That has me scared a little bit.

I was going to stop charting on my next cycle... but I didn't get a next cycle lol A few girls have done it, just for a break and to relax about things. Hope it works for you!! All you really need to take notice of (if you wanted) is your CM.

Or just throw caution to the wind and go with the flow!

I only started charting post O temps the last few cycles. All the Pre-O temps of mine that are the same temp were made up! And I only did post O temps so I could confirm I wasn't pregnant by CD 12 b/c I usually got a temp dip around then.

I think you should do a 120 days of sex challenge. I read about it in a magazine. Not only will it make sure tons of sperm are in there (hehe), it is also supposed to be very relaxing. And it doesn't have to be fabulous sex every night, just make sure you do it every day. Seriously Lauren, you know you wanna do the sex challenge! Then you can give us reports, and if you do get pregnant you can name the baby after me for coming up with the idea! Muhahahahahaha!

I think a break can help sometimes. Even though we werent in active TTC mode, I was about to take a break for a few months when it happened for me. Perhaps I was more relaxed, I don't know but something happened.

I don't think I could do 120 days of sex.

DANG! That would give you something to blog about!

I must say I can't support you in your not charting/temping/POASing this cycle. I'm hopeful that by CD8 or so you'll come to your senses. hahaha.

I actually was thinking about a 30 day marathon challenge -- might try that and then keep going to 120 days!!

Ok I MIGHT temp... nothing else. Only StaceyC can make me pee on things and thats cause she punches me when I'm laughing and I just pee on myself

I AM blogging right now daily about my workout challenges. Its really really interesting to me that it keeps me way more accountable.. Lots of pics too

Well, the month I got pregnant with Alyssa we werent' trying, and I only temped long enough to confirm ovulation because I wanted to know when af would arrive. I liked the predictability of knowing the exact day to expect her. Here's my chart to show you how sporadically I temped that month. http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/8817d

I think it is good and healthy to take a break from charting every now and again. It is so stressful! I think it may do you some good (as far as stress levels are concerned).

I was thinking about starting out like that, now that I have temped a few cycles and know my cycle patterns. SO and I are closer when I don't temp, because if I am temping I sleep all the way on my side of the bed so I don't have to move much to reach the thermometer. If I'm not temping, I snuggle up close to him all night.

You're right, I did this the month before we got preggo. I think I cheated and used OPKs though, I was obsessed with those things!

You'll be okay, it's actually nice to not have to take your temp every morning! My only paranoia came in timing BDing correctly. I was okay in the 2ww actually, for the most part....I think! lol. It's been a while.

Good luck for this cycle!

I've done it a few times now, but mostly on clomid cycles or break cycles. it's actually really relaxing to me to be able to ignore the thermometer until after christmas or so...

That is the main reason I kept talking myself into temping but there were times when I took breaks from it and that was nice. Sometimes I'd just temp long enough to confirm O and then stop in the 2ww so that I wouldn't drive myself crazy over every dip and rise.
