Hi ladies! I posted over on the cloth diaper board about my childcare dilemma, which I think may be worked out. I'm so happy, b/c that has been a big stressor this week. I'm doing very well overall, just a little cough and sniffle. I'm 28 weeks tomorrow, woohoo for the third trimester. My DH and I have started our hypnobabies homestudy, and I really like it so far. I have a friend who just had a wonderful NCB at the same hospital I'm using, with the same group of OB's and midwives. I'm trying to stay very optimistic about my NCB, even though I'm worried I'll just be a big old baby. We have showers coming up in November, and I'm really excited. I can't wait to see what Shim gets! I ordered a chair for our den, and my parents gave me a wooden rocker for my BD last week. They meant it for the deck, but it looks great in the nursery since it's black. It's not the most comfy, but I wasn't planning on using whatever chair went in the nursery anyhow. I'm in LOVE with the one going in the den. It rocks, glides, and swivels- and so does the ottoman. And it is so soft on top of all that.

Anyway, not much else going on here, I just felt like it had been forever since I'd posted an update. I promise to try and get pics up soon of this expanding belly.

Nikki

The daycare you found sounds great. With BF baby poop there is nothing to dump as you said. I would not worry about the solid poop. I don't think it would stain if your still BF. We have been cloth diapering and so far it's going well. I just make sure to do a prerinse with cold water. That way the stains don't set in. I only bought one snappi and have not used it yet. I don't see a need to with my prefolds. I just put the cover right over the prefold. We use fitted covers.

Yeah for daycare - there really are great ones out there. We are in love with DS's daycare. The other night there was a huge traffic jam and I work on one side of a bridge and the day care is on the other - well they shut down the road at one point and traffic was like a parking lot. I called the daycare and they said they were aware of the traffic and were staying open as last as need be with no late fees until all the kids were picked up. When I finally got there at 8:10 (I left my office at 5:00 for a usual 25 min. trip) he was the second to last kid to be picked up. The two teachers there were very chipper, positive, playing with the kids and were apologetic that all they had to give them to eat was goldfish and cookies. I didn't care because my child was happy, he wasn't worried or stressed and the teachers made it seem like no big deal. I was amazed and felt blessed that Harrison is at such a great place. Just thought I'd share....I know it can be nerve wrecking thinking about leaving your child with other people all day long!

ETA: Nikki are you in Charlotte NC - I'm in Wilmington NC and I can tell you that NC has a great star rating system for daycare - they have a website - like NC Division of Child Development - any center licensed with that state has all their info on there - like compliants and visits by the Division and the findings etc. It can really open your eyes to things that you may not have been aware of. You may have already known about this?
