My OB put me on modified bed rest. How much does that suck??? But I'm still going to the pumpkin patch today since I won't be standing the entire time.

ETA: I didn't get my pelvic rest lifted either...and I haven't told my poor DH yet. (But I would still be on it anyway for at least a few days b'c of the amnio. anyway, so it's not like he could've gotten lucky this weekend...LOL)

Listen Lauren, you need to take it easy!! I know you have a lot of stuff you want to do but you got to take it easy before you end up on strict bedrest! Take care of yourself!!

I'll be fine. I'm not constantly out and about or on my feet, but I think I don't like the idea of someone telling me I have to slow down (meaning my doc). I didn't mind so much in the beginning, but now that I'm not constantly nauseous, I have a job to do and all that other stuff. I am hoping to finish up all my coursework by December so I won't have any of that to worry about once I'm a mom of two. Plus I still think I might be able to get off work from mid-February, so I just have to stay busy a little while longer. I actually might have to go on bedrest later on in the pregnancy as baby gets bigger and puts more pressure on my bladder, so I'm trying to enjoy not being confined to a bed while I can. Plus I have a feeling that DH will make MIL come babysit me if that happens which is going to make me cry/scream/swear/go crazy, so I really need to appreciate my freedom while it's here. It's mostly the household chores, childcare stuff and actually going to work which has me on my feet, other than errands (which I've been lax about). Most of the things I need to do for my job while at home can be done sitting down, and so can most of the coursework for my prof. development classes so those things will not cause me to spot or put me in any danger.

I'm just venting because this whole thing has me very upset. Thanks for the support.

Can you afford to (I don't mean this in a bad way, I just know some people are not as financially flexible as others) hire a helper to assist with the household chores? The person could be part-time or could just come a few hours on some days? That would take the pressure off there.
