I've been at my parents for the weekend (3 hour drive away), went up Fri night after work and got home today about 2 hrs ago.

Whilst driving back, I kept feeling this odd sensation which was every 30 minutes. I don't know if it's baby moving lower down - I don't feel the baby moving during this feeling, whatever it is. Or it may be BHs?

It's at the base of my bump, a strange feeling, kinda like a mixture of pressure and what I assume is what muscle tightening feels like. The fact it's every half hour started me wondering! It's not sore but quite uncomfy and the base of my bump is hard during it. Lasts around 30 secs to 1 minute.

Sound like braxtons?

It sounds like my BH. They made me so uneasy when they first started. Now I have BH everyday, so I'm used to it. Sounds like your uterus is starting to gear up Fi!

Even with them being so regular, ok spaced apart but it was def every 25-30 mins.

They seem to have settled down for now. I know dehydration makes BHs worse, and due to me having to drive for 3 hours, I'd only had 1 cup of tea and a carton of juice from 9am until I got home around 4ish. Have had a good bit to drink since i got home, so perhaps it was simply BHs? It's horrible being a newbie

I'm glad whatever it was settled down. I've not had BHs yet or at least I don't think so. I do feel pressure low down sometimes when the little one puts herself in an odd position!!

BTW: Fi, this is our last week of the 2nd trimester!!!

Are you scared?!

Are you able to feel body parts yet? I can sometimes feel a hard bit which I assume is head or butt, but nothing else. When I lie down in bed every night, the baby goes nuts!! Not kicking anymore, it's complete movement all over my tummy, like a Mexican Wave.

I'm not scared...yet. LOL!

I do share the same experience with the head or butt parts and I have felt a long part a few times which I assumed to be a hand or foot but I can't definitely identify with any one part.

Sometimes I wonder what on earth she's doing in there. She goes crazy with some strong and I can almost say erratic, aggressive movements especially in the wee hours of the morning. She seems to be a fiesty little thing already.

sounds like BH!!! How exciting. I remember I used to think it was the baby stretching out and pushing against my stomach...silly me....it was my muscles all along! I started getting non-stress tests at like 30 weeks and the BH's would register on the monitor!
