First off...I hope everyone had a great Halloween.
Today is my birthday. My MIL called at 7 am. She's very sweet. My brother called me from Kuwait at 8 this morning. I was touched that he would call from that far away. He's deployed until next July and his wife is going to have their son on December 4th.
For my birthday I got to take my LO to the doctor for his first round of shots. What a great start to the day, both of us in tears. It broke my heart.
Leo is doing great. He weighed in at 10 lbs 10 oz and is 23.25 inches long. The doctor said he's very healthy. He was fine until it was time for the shots.
I also had a doctor's appointment today. My nipples have not healed up yet from the thrush, as a matter of fact they started splitting, cracking and bleeding this week. I wound up with another prescription for a topical medication. Let's hope that this works because if I have to go back to the doctor I have to pay for it out of pocket. The other thing with this appointment I have new doctor's orders...I am not supposed to wear a bra or breast pads when I'm at home. I'm allowed to wear 100% cotton shirts and that's it. I can only wear nursing pads when I have to go out in public. This is funny. Because my nipples are so sore I'm foregoing the shirt right now. It sure makes it fun when I have random let down
I also got my flu shot today.
When we got home I made tacos for dinner. Then right when the food was ready, Leo was ready to eat. While he was eating and then handed off to DH I got 3 different phone calls to wish me a happy birthday. Everyone wanted to talk forever...all I wanted to do was eat my dinner LOL. I finally got to eat and DH cleaned up the kitchen.
Leo has been awake since about 4:30 pm and is now getting very fussy. I think he's over-tired. My poor little boy. I hope that he will sleep for most of the night, but doubt it.
Tomorrow is going to be a better day

(today wasn't really that bad, except for Leo getting his shots)
