OMG I'm so happy right now I want to cry tears of joy!
I have this very good friend from high school. She's the most amazing, caring, generous, sweet woman I know. I love her to death. We can't see each other as much as we'd like anymore, but everytime we do see each other, it's always just like old times.
Her and her husband have been trying to have a baby for one and a half year now. When I last saw her a few days before my trip in September, she was talking about how tired she was of trying and how so many of her friends were pregnant and it was very difficult for her evem though she was happy for them (we all know that feeling). She told me that since she got off the pill, her cycle never regulated. They ranged from 38 days to 120 days! She kept taking home pregnancy tests after home pregnancy tests, eveyr month, but they were always negative.
But she called me today and told me she's finally pregnant! She was having a very long cycle again (her last AF was in JUNE!). Every month, she would take a test, just in case, but it was always negative. Her doctor suggested she tried some medication (I'm guessing Clomid or something like that), but she had told him she'd think about it. She considered adoption. She was just undecided. And then a few weeks ago, she was on a business trip and felt that something was off. She had been bloated for a few days and had some more symptoms. So she took a test in her hotel room. And it was positive!!!
She's due June 11. She was a bit worried last week cause she had some bleeding, but she had an ultrasound and everything seems perfect. I'm so happy for her
I'm sharing this story because it is proof that there's always hope. I know that all of you who have been trying a long time will succeed. You will all be mothers because you all deserve it just like she does!
