I hope he really helps people like everyone believes he will. Right now I'm a bit worried for my household personally, right now we I think we make too much money to see any aid from him...for instance, the tax calculator on his website wouldn't calculate for me, it just kept thinking and thinking. I'm worried for our military too (sorry I'm a former military spouse). But we've always made it through whomever is President. I am excited to see our nation make history however!

Congrats to all the Dems! I really hope he turns out to better our nation. I voted McCain/Palin but knew they weren't going to win. Always praying for this country

I want to say Congrats from Barbados but I just hope that people are mindful of the long, hard road he has ahead of him before he can really make an impact.
I'm afraid that a lot of people will expect an overnight turnaround but it will take time to help turn things around. I also hope that he remains open to the ideas of the others around him because even though I did not support McCain and all of his ideas, some of them were not bad. I think that if they can come together and merge the two to create the best possible policies for the US, that the country will do well and ultimately the world as well. It's a people fight not a democrat vs republican fight.

This is so amazing! Obama!!!
We had a pretty good run in California with the exception of 8, which passed.
It'll get overturned but it makes me sad to think of the discrimination that still runs rampant in the world.
