I had brown spotting today (it was my normal cm output, only tinged brown). I know it is normal most of the time, but then you hear these stories about how it starts out as brown and then . . .
I am kinda freaking out. Especially b/c I have been having a lot of cramps this pregnancy on and off. I don't have any right now, but still. Maybe I just need to hear that it is normal. I am calling the doc anyways though

I'm sure all is well! I had spotting with Taylor at 12 weeks and some with Rylie at around 8 weeks and everything was fine. Praying for baby!

I've heard numerous times that brown spotting is old blood, and if its just tinged thats very normal. I wouldn't worry too much, but call your dr if you are. And cramps are sooo normal. I still get them, that is from all the stretching and moving of your uterus. Don't worry too much Michelle (or Kati ) I hope all is well!!

Usually brown is safe. Old blood. Have you had sex lately? Sometimes that can do it.
Keep us posted on how the doc goes!

I had brown spotting at almost the exact same time as you in my pregnancy. Lasted about 3 hours, went away and I never had it again...and Conner is perfect! I'll keep you in my thoughts though, I'm sure it will turn out to be nothing

Try to relax. It's perfectly normal to have some brown spotting. I had red/pink/brown spotting from the time I found out I was pregnant til 8 or 9 weeks with Lochlann. I also had a lot of spotting with Liam at almost 20 weeks. And we weren't having any sex so the reason for both is still unknown. But they are both perfectly healthy little boys. Keeping you both in my thoughts and prayers!

Just to the others, no cramps, no bright red blood - no panic. Brown spotting is okies. Your ticker is gone, so I can't recall exactly your weeks/days, but are you around the time that AF would have been due?

I know it's scary. There really are lots of women who spot and have everything turn out fine.
I'm hoping you went to your dr and found out that all is well. ((hugs))

The brown-tinged spotting is gone today, so hopefully it doesn't come back! I called an OB I wanted to use yesterday and they told me I had to have a pre-doctor appt where they get all my info, show me the hospital, etc. I kinda got frustrated with them (b/c I was on hold a long time), so today I am going to schedule a tour/meeting at our local birthing center and check them out too.
I guess I should see a doctor anyways about the spotting, but I am just going to focus on finding the right provider first and then in a few weeks I will be getting another ultrasound most likely anyways. Since it was only brown, it went away, and I don't have cramps, I figure I am ok. It's not like they can do anything anyways if it isn't ok! Lets hope it doesn't come back, b/c any kind o spotting is frightening.
And Fi, you silly, I am 9 weeks today! So way past when AF was due And my ticker moved!

I'm glad to hear that Michelle, and do try to get an OBGYN as soon as you can....that way they can follow the progress of your pregnancy, and can answer any questions that you may have.
