So this is a story that happened in the town next to me.. actually its almost a city. Rt 9 is a highway! 2 lanes on each side, speed limit is 55 in the area where this happened! I really hope this mother presses charges!

How horrible.

Unfortunately it will end up being the school's insurance that will pay for any lawsuits, not the bus driver.

holy crap that is nuts! Glad he was fired and the child is ok! Can't trust anyone with your kids!

this happened to a friend of mine recently. Different circumstances though. My friend was at work and her husband was supposed to be at the bus stop to pick up her son. They live on a busy street where the child would have to cross 2 lanes of traffic to get to his house. The husband was delayed in traffic, and wasn't there. The bus drive drops this 5 year old off on the busy road. Where he just sat until a stranger helped him across the street and waited until the father arrived. Needless to say, my friend was having a heart attack!

I don't think the mom should sue, I think that she should tell this story to every place this person tries to find a job that has any responsibility with life of any type! That will hit them where it hurts!
