Mum phoned earlier...

I hate when mum's MS is bad, and it has been bad for a while now, Her mobility is pretty much non-existent. She had a hospital app today for a check for the meds she takes. The consultant she saw advised that she is admitted to hospital for 4 days to get IV meds, and intense physio.

So she's going in on Monday. It's so horrible that she is so poorly Even simple things like she will never push my baby's pram (she cannot walk unaided, and if out of the house she must always use wheelchair). Mum is one of the kindest people you could ever meet and never complains about being sick. It's just so unfair And with them living a 3 hour drive from us, I can't go visit.

Oh Fiona, I'm so sorry! My stepmother and my best friend growing up both have MS. I know hard it is to see someone you love, someone who is a wonderful person, suffer with something like this. It is a really cruel disease and it makes me so mad sometimes! I really hope this is a quick spell for her and she gets to feeling better soon.

((hugs)) Fi. I hope she sees a lot of improvement soon. My MIL has an autoimmune disorder so she won't be able to do much with our baby either. I know that is very hard on our grandmas to be.

I'm sorry Fi! I can only imagine how hard it must be for her and for you all. I hope all goes well and the meds will help her improve.

I have a friend who mom has MS too and I've seen how it can get. Your mom's a very strong woman to go through it without complaining.

Thanks girls. The Physio will do one of 2 things.... help a bit... or tire her out completely. But with her being in hospital, at least she'll get 24hr care whilst going through it.
