How true do you think the old wives tale of how you carry can indicate the gener of your baby?

I tried looking it up online and there are conflicting info "if it's this it's a boy", etc... what's your take on this theory?

If you have had a baby, did this tale ring true for how you carried your baby?

Lots of people guessed that Curtis would be a boy because of how I was carrying, all belly, all out in front (I think?). I didn't think much of it and still don't really lol..

I carried more side to side, aka I was wider then out.. lol

I also don't trust those old wives tale.. Every test I did, screamed boy.. Even Adriana's heart rate said she should have been a boy, but obviously she wasn't..

I found a site that has the "typical" list... link - there's a link to click to go onto page 2 which is about girl pregnancies.

I have bits of both - all bump, heartrate is always approx 150. no cravings, not sure if I'm carrying high or low?

Ive always heard carrying low means you are having a boy. For me that was true. Also I've heard craving sour/salty stuff means you're having a boy. That one was also true for me.

It hasn't been true for me, lol. I carried Lily very high and out, this one is low and compact and is still a girl. Their heart rates have both always been in the 150's, though.

I don't put any faith into old wives tales because sometimes you can read on one site that if your carrying low its a boy and then on another, it says if you're carrying low it's a girl. Same thing with the heart rate. I think you can just use it for fun and laughs but know that's all there is to it.

Some people look at me and tell me I'm carrying a boy, others say girl. Even though my OBGYN was pretty convinced that I'm carrying a girl, I just say we'll wait and see. Maybe at the 32w u/s, she'll give me a clear shot and I can say for sure one way or the other.

They have done research on many of the wives tales and only one KIND OF showed true. And that was how many days prior to Conception you had sex (24-48 hrs it was a boy, over 48hrs-girl.....but thats only in the high 60% category for correct)

My grandmother can look at a pregnant women and say what she's having with 100% accurately! She says if you can't tell the women is pregnant when looking at her from the back (ie the women facing away from you) then it's a girl. I've tried the same technique and it's never right for me!
