I'm stressing myself out about the mattress for Shim. I want an organic one without all the chemicals on the outside. I don't like the one at BRU, and I went to a different place this am that has a Naturepedic. The inside is organic cotton, with no PVC/phthlates/vinyl. It has something called Flamebreaker fire protection, while also saying it doesn't have any fire retardant chemicals. It also has no wool/latex or polyurethane foam. Its $259. What do you other green ladies think?

BTW I am home, and my weekend and shower in Buffalo were wonderful! However, I've been running around all morning, and work 3-11 tonight, so pics will have to wait until tomorrow....Sorry!

To be honest Oliver never sleeps in his crib unless it's for a short nap during the day. He always sleeps with me. Our adult mattress is not organic. I'm hoping to move him to his bed when he is around 3 months but I don't know if I will be strong enough to do it. I love sleeping with him. He sleeps so much better next to me too.

Eeeek! I would love to have an organic crib mattress but we can't afford it. Aden just has a Serta one that is waterproof on the outside (definitely came in handy let me tell you).

I hope you find something....do you guys have a Burlington Coat Factory nearby?
