I've asked my midwife about Pilates that I do. She said its great to do, and yoga. But I haven't asked about situps. Now I'm not talking strenuous situps with a medicine ball... just situps during my pilates dvd... with doing the side abs... the hundred (for those of you who don't know pilates- its my fave pilates movement, and my stomach abs are tight because of it- you lay down on your back, put your legs parallel from the ground, lift your head and your arms off the ground, and pump you hands towards the ground counting to 100)
So is this safe during 2nd and 3rd tri- safe for my growing baby? I want to maintain my stomach muscles a bit, also to help with labor and after birth.
