I know the pregnancy books always say you might have vision changes or difficulty wearing contacts during pregnancy. I have never had problems with my contacts, but I have also never had an eye exam while preggo. Does anyone know if I should wait till after I've given birth to get my eyes checked? The reason I ask is because my glasses are way old, and I know I'm going to be using them a lot after giving birth. I'd love a new pair. I was thinking of just changing my glasses this year & waiting till next to do my contacts. Any advice/opinions?

Wait 3 months AFTER you have had the baby! YES hormones mess with your vision. I have to redo my lasik surgery (I lost my 20/15 and am now 20/25 so I don't wear anything yet but I can tell a difference) and my doctors asked if I was going to have kids and he said to wait 3 months after last kid before I redo the surgery (or if they get bad enough to wear glasses/contacts) because every pregnancy messing with your vision just a bit.

So I shouldn't even get new glasses then, right? I am so gonna bring contacts to the hospital! I am used to wearing them going on very little sleep (2-4 hours) so I think I might actually be okay. It's possible that Dane could be an even worse sleeper than Abby was, but I don't think it's too likely!

My vision went to total crap when I was pregnant with Aden...although I did have high blood pressure starting from the second trimester but still. It would be a good idea to wait until after the baby comes

Still bring your contacts to the hospital ---IF you need a c/s contacts aren't allowed in-and the air in hospitals is SO drying your glasses may be better for you. (bring contact drops!)
