Hiya ladies!

Today we are going into D.C. to visit a couple museums. My grandma volunteers for the Smithsonian (sp?), so she got an invitation to come to the preview of the grand-opening of the American History Museum. It doesn't open for like another week or so, but we can get in today. Fun!

Anyway, just wanted to give a quick update.

I miss you sooo much round here, it gets lonely!! Its great to have updates!! And stop forgetting about your blogg missy!!

OMG you are so lucky!!!! I can't wait to see the opening! I went to Smithosian last June and saw the construction.

My blog depresses me right now, so I removed the link from my siggy. I would have to go through and change everything, delete some posts, change the name/picture, etc... so I just leave it alone now.

Well, the opening was really nice! They had refreshments (hot cider, punch, desserts), the director of the museum gave a little speech in the public square, then they sang the anthem, which made me tear up. Then we got to go see the newly refurbished Star Spangled Banner. It really is amazing to see this gigantic flag, two hundred years old, and still mostly intact. Most of the exhibits were partially roped off still, because they aren't 100% done with the renovations yet. But it was still nice to be first to see it all!

I'm glad you had fun!! let me know if you ever go to Union station on tues and thurs cuz I go to union station those days to go to gallaudet!

We were at Union Station today! I wanted a particular Obama shirt, and Grandma said she had seen it there. If we go on one of those days I will for sure let you know!!

I have never been to Washington DC.....I can't wait to see pictures!!!
