I posted in the free book thread that they charged my card full price. Well since then they charged me two fees of $39.57 and three $1 fees. I tried their customer service page and it won't load (go figure ) and then finally was able to get a phone number off of another page of their site. I waited on hold for 45 minutes and finally got a woman who didn't speak english. She told me all the charges were just to verify my card was active and not stolen. I asked that she cancel my order and refund all of the fees immediately. She tried to convince me that I was overreacting and that the fees would be refunded except for the $6.99 shipping the book would cost. I demanded again that she cancel the whole order and she refused. So I am now disputing the charges with my credit card company and I will be reporting snapfish to the Better Business Bureau. What a load of crap! I hope no one else has to go through all this! Just thought I would warn you all!

Thats very odd! My mom uses them all the time and hasnt had any issues. I know that most companies put a hold on you acct for the reason of theft, but all of that is a little excessive! Normally its only $1! I'm sorry you didnt have a good experience with them! Good luck!

I just filed a complaint with the BBB so we'll see if that gets me anywhere.

I ordered my free photo book on Saturday. They only charged the S&H on my credit card. It was around $7. On the final check out page it showed me my total before I submitted my order. I went through Oprahs website to get the free book. I believe you had to do it that way. Sorry your having such a hard time with the company.

^^ ditto to what Resi said. I ordered mine on Saturday through Oprah's website, and it showed me my total price on the final page of $7.41 which was including tax. Did you go through her site, or right on snapfish??? And did your final page show the $7.41 or more before you clicked Order? I order pics all the time from snapfish and have never had an issue.

I'm sorry you had such an issue.

When I checked out it said $6.99 + tax. I never expected to see 80-some dollars charged to my CC. It really sucks and I'm really disappointed by the fact that they refused to refund it immediately or cancel my order. If it was a mistake on their part they should have just admitted it and refunded my money. Now I'm beyond mad and I'm going to make sure the BBB gets me my money back, plus interest if it goes beyond one billing cycle on my card without a refund.

I called Snapfish back and fought with another service rep. I finally got her to connect me with a 'manager' who refused to refund my money saying my order already shipped. I told him I didn't give a wit and I would send back the book but I had better get my money back. He said he would speak to the billing department. I asked if I could be connected to someone in billing and he refused. He said he would EMAIL them for me! Excuse me? I want to talk to a person and I want my $82.14 back NOW! I told him I filed a complaint with the BBB and suddenly he didn't want to talk anymore. So after I was suddenly 'disconnected' I got online and also filed my complaint with the state attorney general. I hope Snapfish gets exactly what they deserve. I'm half tempted to email the local news station in hopes they would contact Snapfish and shame them into refunding my money.

Sara in my town, Channel 2 and Channel 7's local news have reporters called "Problem Solvers". DO you have something like that? Maybe see if you can get them to do a story on it, and they will contact them and tell them they're going to broadcast it. Maybe like putting a little fire under their butts.

I hope you get this worked out.
